I just found out this is ACTUALLY happening? Is anyone planning to see this? Is this going to be another Home for the Holidays?

All I know, is that I have exactly NO desire to see this.

I think it sounds awesome. But I won't be seeing it because I won't be in NY at that time.

Wonder whether playing at Playstation Theater would be a cheaper alternative though.

If I was up there during the run, I'd check it out.

This will probably be as popular as HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS. Just this is playing a larger theater, so imagine the company looking out and only seeing 300 people in the Broadway Theater.

Posted: 12/27/17 at 9:20amI don't really know how popular or not this would be, but many of us didn't think Rock of Ages had a chance of pulling in an audience on Broadway either. I know it didn't recoup but it didn't have a bad little run.

I thought Rock Of Ages did recoup its investment?

I have a terrible memory. Oops...you are correct.
(Doesn't change my point though - which is: who the hell knows?)

Posted: 12/27/17 at 9:36amI enjoyed the broadcast of this concert. Saw the last half of it.

Rock of ages at least had a story going for it where this appears to be just a concert? I try to see everything that actually has a story but I'll probably be skipping this like I did home for the holidays. They just feel like a waste of time and money to me.

Which is one of the reasons why I have no interest in it either.

Not my cup of tea but that magic show has made money both times it did a limited run, so yes HFTH failed but there is a way to make money with these types of things.

They use local choirs when they tour- I sang with them when they used a local professional-run glee club and its alumni. The arrangements are cool, but it's not quite Trans-Siberian Orchestra levels of spectacle.
Is Tony Vincent with the Broadway run?

He's a great guy- I bought most of my guitar equipment from him on Craigslist, and he was a great help in getting it set up and configured.
