I suppose what heavenonmymind finds disappointing is that it isn't the 1974 Los Angeles Roxy Theater Cast. Though as far as I know, the '74 LA cast became the '75 Broadway cast.

does anyone know if there is an official recording or ... magical videos... of Raul Esparza in the revival?
<-- Gwen Stewart, SOLoist at the last show of RENT Cages or wings?
Which do you prefer?

The quality is pretty incredible, considering its age and the technology available then. It's on par with my personal Holy Grail of recordings, the OBC soundboards of Follies and Company.
I like Abigale Haness's Janet on the full recording. She seems to have some levels that she doesn't have on the album, where she seems to just scream and belt.
It's always exciting when an old soundboard recording of a show I like appears. There's something about getting the chance to listen to the full original production complete with the audience that gives you a feeling of almost being there.
There's definitely an official recording of the 2000 revival and I'm certain you can find "magical videos" on YouTube.
You can't, as they are no longer in existence. There are videos of The Rocky Horror Show but they are not from the 2000 revival.

"Yes, the brutalities of progress are called revolutions. When they are over, men recognize that the human race has been harshly treated but it has moved forward." - Les Miserables
Why I'm disappointed is because I love the 74 Roxy cast, and they seem to really be holding back when they came to Broadway. And Richard O'Brien really has nothing on Bruce Scott, who played Riff Raff at the Roxy.
Bruce Scott was absolutely nuts, and a way better singer than Richard O'Brien. But obviously there's something to O'Brien's Riff Raff that people really like.
This is a pretty cool recording. Meatloaf's high notes sound so effortless.
