Heels. She's definitely not taller than he is.

thank god!
"I want Daphne and Freddie in this movie."
I happen to love Fredi. But I also, now, love Tracie.
This is life. Be happy most of the OBC made it.
haha, Adam's almost 6'0". I promise Rosario isn't that tall.

i think she will be great. shes a good actress, and from what i've heard from those little clips ont he rent website, a good singer. i can see why she's so nervous, i mean we are tough critics, and we all have our favorite mimi's, which she is well aware of.

I hope she's better than her performance in Two Gentlemen of Verona. Her singing was weak, little-to-no-vibrato or sustenation, and often under pitch. I couldn't figure out why she was cast in a show filled with powerhouse voices.
I can't figure it out either. If anyone ever does please share.
The mystery of Rosario Dawson being cast in "Rent" the movie ranks right up there with the "Theory of Everything".
And if anyone thinks that Rosario really has what it takes, tell her to show up at the Nederlander some night and prove it.
Theory of Everything

Emcee?
Rosario is a splendid actress, her growth has been a thrill to watch, she'll do "Mimi" proud.
Never really liked her.But Rent's celebrating it's 10th anverisary. There has been alot of mimi's since then.So it really shouldn't be hard but the orginal is always better sometimes.
Always better sometimes?
oy.

why couldn't the original Mimi do it anyway?
She doesn't look as young as the rest of them. She just had a baby.

Why couldn't they have used ANY of the Broadway Mimi's?
Or, for that matter, anyone actually capable of handling the role. Not someone who freely admits that she never sang anywhere other than in her living room.

None of them look as young as they did in 1995. But they are all proven performers who originated their roles.
They're like that Smith-Barney commercial. They did it the old fashioned way. They earned it.
Okay, really, can't we put this argument to rest?
If I remember correctly, when they were casting, Daphne was pregnant. So, obviously, that wasn't going to work. And why would she have wanted to do a movie right after having a baby?
Also, Mimi is the youngest character. The ages of the other characters are never specified. Light My Candle specifically states that she's nineteen. And obviously, Daphne doesn't look nineteen.
The part went to Rosario. The movie is done filming. It's coming out in November. Really, just, stop.
Someone is SERIOUSLY HAVING A MENTAL BREAKDOWN OVER THIS. *coughslackercough* and I'm having fun reading him come undone with every single one of his posts.
Talk about BWW meltdown. One for the record books I would say.
And yes, I agree he should give it a rest.
I can't wait until November.
Ha, so true.
Seriously, quite your bitchin'.
I mean, you have all OBC there, and still you complain.
NOTHING will make you happy - and you don't seem to grasp this concept.
And expect a lot to be changed. I can't wait for the threads, "there is an extra brick on the left wall of the..."
Oy.
1) Be happy they are making a Rent movie.
2) Be happy most of the OBC was able to be in it.
3) Be happy, be merry, and drink lots of sherry.
