I'm going to the show on Feb. 3rd and want to meet Groff & Lea Do they both usually come out and take picture? I LOVE Lea. I have little B-way crush on hr I would really like to meet her.
Also what does the cast like? I was thinking of getting Groff & Lea a small (Inexpensive) gift? Do they accept gifts? Is it usually aceptable to get them a little something.
Thanks so much

Think of it this way...what will giving them a gift do fot you?
When I saw them this summer they came out signed and took pictures.
You could get them a gift. Others have.
Why would you spend money on them? Like... they really don't know who you are, and they probably don't care all that much either.
Groff usually comes out, however Lea has only done it a few times I've been.

if you're going to the mat on feb 3rd lea will probably not come out (she never does this time of a year during mats) but, Jonathan always does. He'll stay outside for like an hour until everyone is happy. & they would definitely accept gifts. i made blake b. a review type flyer that had quotes & SD pics with fans, he loved it. & i made Jonathan a card & Lea too. Like i think the more personal the gift, the more it will touch them. like i'm sure blake has that flyer hanging in his dressing room, like he felt so good & happy when i gave it to him. but with lea, if you want to give her a gift jon is super nice, he took my card for lea to give to her. he is a SWEETHEART, as the rest of the cast are.
Spinach. :)

You could give them a piece of your hair so that they can clone you. They LOVE to clone fans.

Coolkid11776, didn't you see the thread in which we discussed gift-giving? The general sentiment for the majority of cases is, don't.

I'd like to see this map
Every time I've stage doored I've met Groff, but not once have I met or seen Lea. So I'd say you're pretty much guaranteed to see Groff, but Lea...well, 50/50. Don't take it personal, I've heard she hates the stage door.

Is there any way that I can meet her other then stagedoor? Like could I get backstage or something?

If you really wanted to you could wait before the show, but I think that's annoying.

Why would you want to meet someone who doesn't want to be met?
Everyone is so nice at the SA stage door! Especially Jonathan! He will take as much time with you as you like. I hope you get to meet them all. I saw the show last month and didn't meet Lea. She walked out with the crowd about 5 minutes after the show was over. Have fun and enjoy the show!
I've never met lea, i've heard she's rude but i've never seen it personal so i'm not one to judge. Groff is a doll though, one of the sweetest people I've met at a stage door (besides tim howar of course)
Not trying to be rude but what makes you think you'd be able to go backstage? Don't you know how many people would kill for that oppurtunity? Tons of people want to meet her but they would never let you do that, sorry. And I agree with whoever said "why would you want to meet someone who doesnt want to be met?" you know.
Idk people do give gifts i think its a little odd personally especially if its the first time you met them. People have to remember that these actors are just people, just kids even, certainly not gods. (I'm not accusing you of doing this, but a lot of people do) OBCs have become so divinized, they just happened to be people in the right place at the right time.
Lea isn't the friendliest person ever. I've seen random times where she's been nice, but overall, yeah...not my favorite. If you like her performance, it shouldn't matter if she's not nice. People need to learn to separate the two.
Out of the times that I've seen the show, the only time Groff has not come out was the Saturday matinee two weeks ago. I know some people were bummed, but he's usually really reliable.
Gifts are so awkward. Especially on a first time meeting them. Don't do it. Especially Lea. Not a good idea.
In my experience with the cast of Spring Awakening, the boys are generally nicer than the girls.
"(she never does this time of a year during mats)"
She did yesterday. And stayed for a while.
When my friend and I went to the stage door last month, Lea didn't come out. But Blake and Jon both came out. My friend made the 3 of them these dolls(yes, he's a little bit obcessed) of their characters. They turned out pretty cute. Since Lea didn't come out, Jon offered to give her the doll. He was super sweet about it, he even sang an...odd song with it. It's very interesting, I'll just say that.
Jon was SO sweet at the stagedoor yesterday! And surprisingly, everyone in the cast came out! We didn't miss anyone

Or something? I suppose you could hire a private investigator to find out where she lives, the route she takes to get to and from work, where she buys lunch, where she gets her hair done...
Is the stage door crazy busy?
I was thinking of stage dooring after my show in March, but I am not a big fan of crowds. I regretted not stage dooring when I saw the OBC, so I am pondering it.
it a lot of the time depends on the weather. Also as far as i know not as many members come out after matinees when they have a show that night--especially when its terrible weather. although i went when it was like 35 and raining after an evening performance and a few people came out.
and agree about groff and blake being awsome, they came and basically started conversations with every person out there despite the weather. and i know people say bad things about lauren pritchard but when i was there she was like the only girl to come out and she was exceptionally generous and friendly.
