Has anybody been by the Lyceum Theatre? Looks like Bombshell is coming to Broadway but they covered up the Director and Star of the show to prevent spoilers:
The bottom of the BOMBSHELL one looks like credits on a film poster. I was just starting to get used to the original BOMBSHELL artwork. I like this, though...
I like it better then the original artwork. This is my prediction, I think J-Hud, Megan, Nikki and Katherine, will all be the stars of 4 musicals, all getting rave reviews, and all 4 ladies fighting for the TONY.
I would buy tickets to Bombshell in a heartbeat. (Assuming there's a book, of course.) I think the music and choreography is as good as anything I've seen on Broadway lately.
I love Krysta Rodriguez! I Can't wait for her to sing on the show. on the other hand, I still have a hard time with katharine mcphee, don't get me wrong she has a great voice but its just too "pop music" for my taste
Nothing makes me more interested to see the second season than the possibility that SOMEONE had the common sense to realize who the right actor is to play Marilyn.
I feel like the show was already built and plotted before anyone realized that the viewing audience would find last season's resolution of that issue completely absurd.
^Amen to your response. Now I can watch the show again without shouting o*******s at she-who-will-not-be-named. Love the new season 2 poster and see that TPTB have come to terms with Megan getting equal footing with she-who-will-not-be-named.
Just a question, is if common for a Broadway show to put the name of the star above the title in the marquee even if the "star" of the show is someone who isn't a big name in the business?
Ivy has been in the ensemble but this would be her first lead role, so I was just curious if they would actually advertise a show the way that they are for Bombshell.
I thought Jordan's character was a writer for LIASONS, which Ivy and Sean Hayes's characters are in? Maybe he has a thing for character an Mientus is just a writing partner, much like Tom and Julia?
Also, Ivy is Marilyn? Can't wait to see what happens because not just was Karen playing Marilyn in Boston, but she goes in to LIASONS. So, maybe is Karen a replacement?
Honeslty, February can't come soon enough!

I see Hilty being in previews for Bombshell, rumors spread of how horrid she is and they replace her with Kat.
I'm interested to see how they do everything since pictures have been seen of Megan in another show and in that clip J-Hud telling Katherine "get ready for the ride cause your next" and then she steps into the paps.
I was lucky enough to see her in A Chorus Line, Spring Awakening, In the Heights, and The Addams Family. She's a phenomenal talent and I can hardly wait to see her in Smash.
As far as Megan Hilty goes, I'm just so happy that millions of people finally got to experience her amazing talent. I've been following her career since I first saw her in Wicked back in 2005. I was lucky enough to get a chance to sit down and talk with her and Eden Espinosa at an L.A club back in 2008. I told them that my biggest wish for some TV exec to give them a chance. Well, 1 out of 2 is better than none.

That's below the title. Above the title is a very literal concept.
I can't see the entirely new writing staff being foolish enough to try for another "Ivy or Karen as Marilyn?" season. That will tank the show faster than anything else. My guess is that the team simply didn't know how talented Hilty was when they hired her...or how stupid it would make them look to claim McPhee had some elusive star quality that made up for the fact that she looks wrong, had no experience, and kind of can't act. Although she did sing the crap out of that final song.
Anybody else kind of excited about the creative team changes on that spoiler poster?
I will also say that I have been in some Broadway shows, one in particular, where the fans were insane and it would take us 45 mins to an hour to sign for everybody after the show. Yet NOT ONCE did I ever see paparazzi at a stage door for anyone other than a huge star. Julia Roberts? Sure. Jennifer Hudson? Depends on who her character is. Karen whatever-her-name-is? NO NO NO.
On July 26, 2012, my wife and I saw Megan Hilty and cast filming a scene near Discovery Times Square. The scene had paparazzi taking photos of Ivy. I could be wrong, but it looked like they were sneak her out of somewhere and the paparazzi got her picture anyway. I'm really excited to see what comes of that...
Oh and she talked to me that day! LOL! As she loaded into a van, I said, 'We love you Ms. Hilty" and she said "Thank you!" LOL! I swooned and immediately tweeted it.
Sad thing was that my wife and I were the only people on the street watching filming that knew what SMASH was. :-/
I have pictures on my Facebook, but they're not of the paparazzi stuff because we didn't see Megan Hilty until after filming was completed for the night... ah and because no one knew what SMASH was they only told us "they're filming for some TV show or something."
"I feel like the show was already built and plotted before anyone realized that the viewing audience would find last season's resolution of that issue completely absurd."
You can't speak for the entire viewing audience. Some people were very happy with the outcome of the season finale.
