FindingNamo - In wicked, what caused Kristin's injury WAS a rope wrapped around her neck and drug her off stage. It happens.
Um... no it wasn't. The frantic head twisting in Popular was what caused it.
Thing is, folks, that this show is no doubt already carrying a pretty steep insurance premium. A few accidents like this, and the underwriter's gonna say, "Uhm... I think we need to revisit this policy..." which they will, to the tune of several, *several* additional large amounts every week.
Couple that with the bad press this is giving the show, with -- no doubt -- calls for additional safety inspections that could postpone the opening even later. This thing could be DOA, even if it's because someone broke a nail. It doesnt matter that the concussion could be trivial or not. It's a concussion, period, and folks are gonna react more to that one word than anything else. Throw in a few tales already about sprained and/or broken wrists, and a lot of people are gonna get really, really nervous. From a strictly business standpoint, this dont look good.
If the show closes, BaileyBoo will be out of a job. Dont let BaileyBoo be jobless!!!

It's official: you can now go into a theater and say "MacBeth". The new cursed play that you can't mention in a theater is Spiderman.
According to The Times, the injury happened backstage:
