I went for it, only because TDF is usually VERY prompt with returning money if the performance is cancelled.

Yup. Though the colon seems to be missing. Perhaps that was Taymor's settlement? Or was there never a colon in the first place?

Got 2 for Saturday & with the tickets for the Sunday matinee of Addams family, Mrs R booked a hotel so we have a really great weekend to look forward to

$39 - that's the standard TDF price for broadway musicals. Most plays (and a few musicals) on broadway sell in the mid-$30 range.
Off-broadway usually sells in the $30 - $35 range on TDF.

Slightly off topic, but could someone please explain to an out of towner how you get these TDF tickets? Coming to the city in september on a mega budget & $35's a show sounds pretty awesome! Many Thanks

You have to meet the eligibility requirement for TDF membership, which is explained on their website (basically a student, government employee/teacher, someone in an arts job etc...). Those who live a certain distance from NYC can get the membership for less than those who live in the city.
