Gonna be outrageous...
Contagious!
Umm, nope.... still not going to see it. Though that video was a slight improvement.
"If we don't live happily ever after at least we survive until the end of the week!" -Kermit the frog "I need the money... it costs a lot to look this cheap!" -Dolly P. "Oh please, Over at 'Gypsy' Patti LuPone hasn't even alienated her first daughter yet!" Mary Testa in "Xanadu" "...Like a drunk Chita Rivera!" Robin de Jesus in "In the Heights"
"B*tch, I don't know your life." -Xanadu After that if he still doesn't understand why you were uncomfortable and are now infuriated, kick him again but this time with Jazz Hands!!! -KillerTofuBroadway Legend Joined: 9/16/07

Why does Sheryl Lee Ralph talk normal off-stage, but on stage always does a weird whispery thing? She better be ready for change!
She's ready for change!
Ready for change!
So ready for change!
Change! Yeah! Change! Yeah! Change! Yeah! Change! Yeah!
So...do you think they're ready for change?
Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!
Do they really think this is helping?

It certainly helps to chase my blues away!
Both video previews look like they are fun, if nothing else. Barbara, Sheryl, and especially Karen look like they are having a great time. Sure, it's called acting, but I don't think it's quite as bad as people on this board seem to think. I like "Ready for Change", it's Motown composers composing Motown-esque music.
Well that COMPLETELY changed MY mind.

P.S. Phyllis - you and I both know its "RED-DAY" for change...

I didn't see them eating chicken.

Hitler looked like he had a great time killing my people too, doesn't mean I'd want to be there to witness it.

DOA in San Diego.
Why do they keep using that song in the clips, its bloody horrid
I have a feeling that is probably the best song in the score, LOL.
You would be correct in that assumption.
Jordan, that's fair. That's very fair. Still, I think we have all seen shows that are worse than this. I personally have never been a Karen Ziemba fan, but I feel like she is trying so hard to make this material look fun that I almost like her. Most of the actors (professional and non-professional) on this board would probably agree that it's hard to look like you're having a great time when you know you're in a turkey of a show.
P, I laughed out loud at "RED-DAY for change"!
I continue to hate how they've reduced the talented Sheryl Lee Ralph to be being the sassy black friend who sings the rousing gospel song.
Barbara Walsh looks so depressed in those clips. Poor thing.
CARRIE 2: RED DAY FOR CHANGE

"I personally have never been a Karen Ziemba fan, but I feel like she is trying so hard to make this material look fun that I almost like her."
I'm having the opposite reaction. That clip is making me dislike the mediocre Zeimba even more than I already do.
I think Ziemba's problems often lie with her material - CURTAINS was supposed to give her a real featured role and she performed it with gusto, but it wasn't a great show. The choreography was capable but nothing thrilling and she didn't have a big song to put over or anything on that level.
I wouldn't judge her on FIRST WIVES CLUB. Actually, I liked her the best of the three leads, although her character was by far the most frustrating. If she had any reservations about what she was given to play, it didn't show in her performance.
Someone write her something good and let's see what she does with it.
