I think they were last time I asked. But last Saturday and Sunday, they were sold out...so I think it's more likely to get those on Wed-Thurs.

I went Thursday night right before the show and was able to snag a center orchestra $99 ticket. Amazing seat and view. Highly recommend it, especially for that price.

NICE! What row were you in?
Has anyone won the lottery? Curious where the lottery seats are located
My plans were in flux today due to the weather, so I didn't do much advance planning. Stopped by TKTS around 7:20 and ended up with a seat in row B of the left mezz - $81. The view was great, but the legroom was barely existent!

A couple in front of me at the box office also won and got Orch J center.
Tickets didn't seem to be held by name. She had a print out list of winners and when she confirmed you were on it just slipped us tickets from a pile.

Wow - $199 seat for $55... The reason I didn't bite at the lotto the other day was my fear of having rear balcony or something. But with this news, I will definitely be trying the lotto a few times.

I had a similar fear and almost didn't complete the transaction when I got the email / was waiting for someone to post their experience here first. I hope ticket locations are similar for the other shows and last night wasn't just some beautiful fluke.

I think they had more availability than usual due to the bad weather last night. But I am sure that may happen in the future too. It is usually not on TKTS on Fridays (it wasn't even on Thursday), so I think that had something to do with your good luck yesterday.

Lost lottery today,(Sunday) but took a chance and went to the box office at 1;:30 hoping for rush tix. Got three total tix, easy peasy. We were waaaaaay up in the rear of the balcony. It is scary steep up there and super cramped - my friend had her knees bumping up against the head of the person in the row in front of us. That said....
Won the lottery today! Tickets were row K seats 5 & 7! Great seats! You do miss a few short scenes and some of Glen's entrances on the left staircase but it isn't much. For the price it's a great value and it's great seeing this show up close.
The people in the row behind us also won the lottery.

LOVED. EVERY. MINUTE.
So happy I went!
I highly recommend you to go back and sit in the orchestra or front mezzanine if you have a chance. Happy you felt the way I did.

I don't remember, but I think it was row J. They were right in the middle of the orchestra. It's definitely worth it to spend $50 more on orchestra than sit all the way up in the balcony.
Hamilfan2 said: "...I am definitely considering going back and this time being closer. I want to really be able to see Glenn's face because her performance was incredible from the back of the house and I can only imagine how incredible it is from up close!"
Just don't get too close; I thought the same thing and bought orchestra front row, on the center isle. I do not recommend sitting this close and I don't feel that this row should be sold as "Premium Seating". Yes, you will see the performers' faces in great detail, but the stage is too wide to comfortably take it all in (your eyes will be constantly scanning from side to side), the projections are almost indecipherable, and the soundstage from this position buries the voices in the orchestra.
I also saw the show from orchestra row E and it was a far better experience (and worth the "Premium Seating" price). You will still see Ms. Close's face quite well from this distance.

"Michael Riedel...The Perez Hilton of the New York Theatre scene" - Craig Hepworth, What's On Stage
I won the lottery yesterday and our seats were in the very back of the orchestra, row Z. View was mostly fine (couldn't see some of the action at the very top of the stairs but that was only really when people were walking down) and my only 'complaint' was there was a super tall guy sitting directly in front of me so I was constantly trying to see around him. Not his fault for being genetically gifted though.
Would highly recommend! Glenn Close was not surprisingly PHENOMENAL. I found myself getting emotional during "As If We Never Said Goodbye" and didn't expect to be impacted as much as I was.
I won the lottery Wednesday. Row F , elevated side Orchestra in the aisle . Perfect seat. Some lady a few rows behind me wanted me to switch seats so she could see better. She was nice about it. But people have alot of nerve . BTW; those elevated side orchestra seats are perfect for tall people with leg space issues .
I won the lottery Wed. night, and got seat L7 (far left orchestra). While the leg room in the elevated orchestra sections is truly wonderful, there was no view of the section of stairs going from the stage up to the first landing (ex., where Norma calls Betty). I've seen the show before so it didn't bother me too much, but IMO this particular seat isn't worth more than the $55 lottery price.
I Rushed today (Thursday 4/13). Got there at 8:30, was 3rd in line (In front of me was a couple but they wanted 4 tix). I got two orchestra seats for $99 each. The box office staff said they also had $42 seats in the balcony.

With Sunset on TKTS almost every day, often for 50% off, I have to wonder if those $99 rush tickets are even worth it when you might be able to get an Orchestra seat from TKTS for probably $8-$10 less. Anyone used TKTS for this?
Won the lottery last night. It was my first time trying. There was a very long line for lottery winners so they must be giving out a lot of them. My seat was orch C2. That's front row on the side, but elevated a little above stage. Great seat. I missed a little on the far stage right, but overall great seat.
I rushed the Saturday matinee and arrived at 8am, being 3rd in line. It was a two-show day, and they offered 3 tiers of rush seats. Orch for $99, Mezz for $55, and Balc for $42. I did the balcony and was able to move up closer, although I wish I would've just splurged for the mezz. The Palace is so huge, but it certainly doesn't swallow up Ms. Close.
Can someone tell me, the box office opens 10am m-s, sun at noon. For rush tickets, does one get there for the box office opening in the morning? If so, why are people saying they were showing up at 7pm and getting rush tickets?
What is the lowest cost on TKTS if anyone knows...how does it compare?
