Samantha Barks / First Date

Samantha Barks will headline a staged virtual production of the Broadway musical First Date, filmed in London at the venue Crazy Coqus. Presented by the venue and Lambert Jackson Productions, the musical will stream October 22-24 at 7:30pm in the UK (2:30pm ET).

This seems like a perfect Zoom musical

I would probably see this. Barks should make a pretty good Casey; I heard that Rodriguez set a low bar for the role when the show was on Broadway (okay singer, bad actress), and Barks should pass it swimmingly.

I've never heard Simon Lipkin's singing voice and I fear he won't be a nice fit for Aaron like Zachary Levi was. These are all just first impressions though (ha ha ha).

Alan Zachary and Michael Weiner have written an addictive, melodious, and hilarious score for First Date and I am so glad more people will get to hear it. This should be a fun watch.

As long as they are actually performing this together, sounds great. Cute little musical.

I saw this is in a regional production and thought it was fun with some of my favorite songs from a musical. Happy to see this put on.
