A casting get for sure! But boy, I can’t help be reminded production after production that Second Stage’s presence on Broadway has been an utter disappointment. Hoping it begins a turnaround.

Both are technically correct, it just depends who you ask. I usually go by whether or not the second "s" is spoken, but I can see Jenkins'/Jenkins's being pronounced either way, and both would work, in my opinion.

This is a great role originally played by Johanna Day off-Broadway where she won great reviews and an Obie Award
if Paulson delivers this could be her first Tony nomination.

It’s in line with the precedent they set with Straight White Men and Thanksgiving Play. Remember that these are new productions, not affiliated with their Off-Broadway premier productions. So even though the plays are fairly recent, and they COULD theoretically hire some of the same actors (and sure, it would be a nice gesture toward those actors), it doesn’t strike me as something to expect. It’s effectively a blank slate; a new director and new producer at the helm. It's only natural that they'd have their own casting ideas, and I think it's perfectly reasonable of them to exercise that.
Between Riverside & Crazy is the exception that proves the rule; that was the same director remounting (-ish?) the original production, not to mention the fact that 2nd Stage had ties to the original production.
