No Princess, please try to read more carefully. I only saw the OBC once. I saw the first stop on the first national tour six times. See, they were still connected to, for lack of a better word, the "roots" of the original show. They got to know the original cast, went and visited Larson's apartment, soaked up the ambience and were in some way connected to the original experience. I also saw the Benny tour at the beginning and end of its life and let me tell you, it was clear that Rent had lost its way. And MANY of the actors from the end of that tour since went to Broadway, a couple are still there. They were embarassingly awful. Like I said, you seem to be satisfied by a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy and you seem to want to believe that it is "just as good," and that's fine. I loved that show. Which is why I hated to see what the producers allowed it to become at the end of the Benny tour.
And no, I won't give any more money to it, I don't care if you say yet again how "it is in better shape now than it has been in years." Great. But back then you were insisting it was still good, too.
Wicked is nowhere near as good as Rent once was.
