Boggess is already having a charmed career. This could have been Chase's big break, and instead the role is going to the girl who already has everything."
I don't think anyone has the right to say that anyone has a charmed career and "has everything"

Don't think I can make requests as the theatre just gives us a general "rear mezzanine" block of seats, but I'll take your advice and try. Thanks!

That music said "Stick It To the Man (Pop Version)"
I wonder if they are trying to release it as a single...

For those of you who saw the workshop show, do all the kids play an instrument during the music class/room scene like they do in the movie?

I don't think all the kids did, but the majority of them played one.

Some were backup singers in the band, some did more crew-like jobs like lights, managing the band, etc., as I recall, not all playing.

In the preview I saw, the kids performed Mozart's Queen of the Night aria in music class. And yes, they did play their own instruments, including the cymbals.

This looks like a disaster waiting to happen. A movie on the lower third of Jack Black's spectrum, and the kids have looked utterly lifeless in every shot I've seen.
Nothing is more disastrous on stage than people pretending to have fun. See "Big" for details.
I hope for better, but at present expect very little from this show.

actorsnoactors - I don't think you can go by the few video clips here. From the WOM from people who went to the concerts, they were pretty enthusiastic (much more so than I expected)
