There a several scores from shows that I have heard far too much. Those that we may have once liked but because we heard them over and over from theatre to shopping mall have lost all appeal. I don't care if I never hear another note of West Side Story or Les Miserables. Your choices?
Note: these shouldn't be scores you have always disliked, but those that have lost their magic for you.

Carousel, Oklahoma!
I have heard them soooo many times!
I don’t know about entire SCORES, but certain songs…yes.
For instance, I don’t care if Rene Fleming is standing in my bedroom singing SUMMERTIME to me personally while I am having sex with my partner. I would have to ask her if she had another piece. That song is so over done/sung. But I would not throw out all of the PORGY AND BESS score.
I do not want to hear THERE’S A PLACE FOR US any time soon but I really would miss the entire score of WSS.

"STARLIGHT EXPRESS".....why?????

None. Simply because they bring back fond memories. I will continue to love them all.
Phantom.
ANNIE is score I can't stand, i think TOMORROW is the most annoying song in the world. i could never tired chorus line, les mis, chicago,or west side story.
Of course! Starlight Express. Then again I could also add Aspects of Love to the list.

I have to agree with you....Each of them brings back very fond memories and I treasure each of those.

I have to agree with both SueleenGay and Sharon. There are certain songs that I can't stand but most do bring back memories.
If you want to send me shrieking from the room, play “The Wind Beneath My Wings”. Now don’t get me wrong, I do understand the meaning behind it and it’s beautiful. HOWEVER, when she starts that aaaaoooohhhhh I’m sorry but aaggghhh! Hades would be a room where they just pipe that one song in. Oy

i must agree with those that say they bring back fond memories of either seeing the show or being in it. on the other hand it takes me about a year to get oevr it and listen to it again. some that i have had way too much of:

joseph/dreamcoat
south pacific
rent

I also agree with Sharon. While some may get annoying, and I may just need to take a haitus from, there will never be any that I won't want to hear again.

I never want to endure a video clip of Mandy Gonzalez screeching anything from Dance of the Vampires ever, ever again.

Wasn't the original question SPECIFICALLY about what scores or songs you liked but due to overplay now never want to hear again? Not songs/shows/artists you never liked.

I can guarantee if they had cruelly decided to record Dance of the Vampires, THAT would be my answer. And I liked Bat Out of Hell for three months in 1977. Satisfied?
