Per Hollywood Reporter
Playwright Stephen Karam will make his Broadway debut this season with The Humans, which will transfer in first-quarter 2016 with the cast of its acclaimed off-Broadway production intact.

Kad, you get such pleasure from Karam penetrating bubbles.

I wished this happened with SONS OF THE PROPHET instead. Or in a perfect world, SPEECH & DEBATE.

The more I think about this play, the more I really loved it. I was hoping to see the current production once more before it closes, but if it's going to Broadway I'll have more of a chance!

It would be a good fit for the Booth.

At this point, it probably won't.
Gotta love BWW's killer article titles. They pose the transfer as a question when in the source article the producer confirmed the transfer. Nonetheless, exciting news for a well-deserved playwright! I will be excited to see this again when it transfers.
I can see this having a similar run to last season's 'Disgraced.' Respectable numbers, but with the main goal to reach a wider audience.

Kad, I was thinking that as well- obviously more could be announced, but there don't seem to be many new plays slated for this year.

This will also be the 3rd show this season to be directed by Joe Mantello. He's got a busy spring ahead of him.

Poor Dames at Sea. I don't think the Helen Hayes stage is big enough for the same kind of set they're using now. I wonder what changes they'll have to make. I think all the moving around in The Humans wasn't that necessary but it did reinforce that idea that they might be in a below-ground apartment but they had two levels and a lot of space.

Didn't we say BLACKBIRD is being considered a revival? It was last seen in NY almost ten years ago.

I honestly think BLACKBIRD's play-or-revival status is a legitimate question mark, more so than some other recent examples (CRIPPLE OF INISHMAAN, THIS IS OUR YOUTH, etc). It's not a new play, but I would imagine many will argue that it isn't well-known or produced enough to be considered an "established classic".

Too big.
Fairly certain the Hayes stage is bigger than the Pels stage, VintageSnarker. No?

Is it just me, or Rudin producing a ton this season? Currently he has A View from the Bridge, then The Crucible, Blackbird, Shuffle Along, and now The Humans.
