Hey guys,
Does anyone know if there are doing any sort of rush, lottery, or standing room for You're Welcome America.. tonight?

I'm not quite sure, but broadway.com's sales has it beating Wicked...good luck getting rush tickets, because it will be very difficult.
Hey:
I saw a dress rehearsal two nights ago and LOVED it.
They offer SRO tickets when it's a sold out house for $29.50. Last I heard the run was 70-80% sold out, so it's very likely that you'll be able to get SRO tix.
Hope you enjoy it.
Is Will Ferrel really famous enough to be known as "Will"?
I'll be seeing it next month. Always late to the party!
Thanks guys!
And Chita - yes. :-P Also, I miss Larkin in your avatar, so if you could put her back..
I love Leigh Ann but I wanted a change and Liza is beautiful. I can't seem to change my signature, it's not working.

Drunk Chita- you have to change your signature..haha.
That is why I wrote, "I can't seem to change my signature, it's not working."
That would seem like a good reason to write it.

I'm seeing Will tonight...should be interesting.
I'd prefer to save my money, and wait for the HBO broadcast in March. I mean, really? I don't want to spend $120 on 2-hrs. of Bush (good, bad, or indifferent) - I've moved on...
Hey guys, I was able to get two tickets tonight for row g on the center isle in the orchestra. If you are there and see me, say hello!

I absolutely loved it. For those of you that were there tonight, I was the one that "Bush" called 'Paper Trail', the last nick name given.
I'll give a full review sometime tomorrow. I sat behind his wife and daughter, who seemed to be loving it, of course.
And also for those of you interested - he stagedoored, signed, and took pictures. For having a reputation of being rude to his fans, he certainly suprised me when he was very nice, gratious, joking, and patient.
So you hand out flyers on the side of the road?
I don't have the energy to really assess right now, but I really enjoyed the show. I thought the structure was really well done with the break between 'scenes'.
For those interested in knowing, I did student rush about 45 minutes before curtain and was with two other people. We ended up getting first and second row of the mezzanine all the way over to the right. It was slightly partial view, but mainly just during one scene when he goes stage left to answer a telephone.
I was a flyer-er for Mike Birbiglia's 'Sleepwalk With Me'
It was pretty good money too! I actually just stopped doing it and now I sell merch in Broadway theatres, but I thought it would be better if I used the flyer job.

So for rush, was it one or two tickets per ID? And do you know if they start selling when the box office opens? Thanks.
I don't know how many you can get per ID, there were three of us standing there when I asked about the tickets and he didn't ask to even see an ID. They were $29.50 each and I have no idea when they start selling them, but I would assume when the box office opens.
I was there last night. I laughed the entire 90 minutes.
LOL JudasIscariot, I loved that whole paper trail thing. I thought he had the best reaction to you.
The Secret Service guy was great. I think that's Will's brother?
ha ha "Why are you the only one tha speaks with a Texas accent!?"
I felt like one of the only people in the theater last night who wasn't eating this up 100%. For me, it was an SNL skit that went on *way too long.* I enjoyed (and laughed out loud) a few times, but overall, I was truly disappointed.
Was the secret service guy dancing really supposed to be funny? I think that should be cut. Also, the part where he named (and projected their faces on the screen) people who he worked with during the presidency was so dull. He had nothing interested to say about any of them.
The penis joke was funny/shocking the first time, but why bring it up again? Just stupid. The humor was so low-brow (and I guess so was the audience since they were loving it) and I truly think it is criminal to be charging $116 for this.
My favorite part of last night was when they threw the shoe at him, and when they were asking the audience their name and occupation.
I'm glad I don't have to see it again...
Edit: When Will said "they dropped me off in the faggy theater district" towards the beginning of the show, he was going to have to be *hilarious* in order to get me back into the show. Saying that was unnecessary.

WaT, I can understand why you might have been turned off by the joke about the theater district, but the point is he's playing a character who might actually say that in real life.
I thought it was a really good and cathartic way for a lot of people to finish off yesterday's festivities. If I was to see this show sometime in March I might feel differently, but going yesterday just felt right for some reason.

The show isn't very funny, to begin with, but when people post spoilers, it makes it worse for people who haven't seen it yet. Come on, guys, a little empathy & responsibility is called for when posting.
Yeah, I guess George Bush doesn't care for gay people, so Will Ferrell was channeling that by saying "faggy theater district," but I still found it offensive. I guess I found GWB's entire Presidency offensive...
I agree with Frogs_fan that yesterday was the day to go! I did enjoy when he said "As of about 8 hours ago, I am no longer President..." He won't be able to say that in subsequent performances.
