If you could, which closing event would you attend on September 3?
CLOSING: SEPTEMBER 3, 2006
The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee
San Francisco - Post Street Theatre
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
New York City - Imperial Theatre
The Lord of the Rings
Toronto - Princess of Wales Theatre
Sweeney Todd
New York City - Eugene O'Neill Theatre
Me? I'd give anything to be front row when Michael swings his razor high and Patti shakes her booty tootin' the tuba!

Well, a lot of people are choosing both Sweeney and Scoundrels.
Scoundrels is a 3:00 curtain and Sweeney is 7:00.
I actually did choose Sweeney.

I've seen DRS and Spelling Bee, and have no desire to see Lord of the Rings. If I'd had the opportunity, I'd have been interested in seeing Sweeney Todd...so that would be my choice.
As it happens, I'll be in Florida and will see none of them.

seeing sweeney, and would've always been so.
as for sep 3, it's the last holiday weekend, so the beginning of the fall slump....

Theoretically, you can go to both DRS and Sweeney closing, since the former is a matinee, and the latter an evening show.

I'd say Lord of the Rings - just because I've never seen it and it seems to have good music. Out of the other 3, I'd see Spelling Bee, but only if I get free tix, I liked the show, but it's the kind of show I'd see only once(Bee), I wouldn't be caught dead at any of the other 2 shows(DRS or Sweeney)

Posted: 8/18/06 at 8:40pmJeezus, for those who haven't bought tickets, you'd better count on your lucky rush/lotto stars to win/get tickets to BOTH shows! Twenty lashings with yarn if you don't!
#14re: September 3 = What'd You Choose?
Posted: 8/18/06 at 8:44pmI have my 2nd row tickets for Sweeney. :) No rush risk for me.

I would choose Sweeney...any day. I'm in 2nd row too!
#17re: September 3 = What'd You Choose?
Posted: 8/18/06 at 8:49pmI already have my ticket for Sweeney's closing. If I can get out of working in the morning on the 3rd I'll try to see DRS one final time as well.

Posted: 8/18/06 at 9:02pmI have seen sweeney twice, but I've only seen DRS once, so you'll find me at the Imperial on sunday the 3rd. Hope I see some other bww-ers there too!
#20re: September 3 = What'd You Choose?
Posted: 8/18/06 at 9:04pmDefinitely Sweeney. I feel like such an idiot, because I probably could've gone the 3rd, but opted for the matinee next Saturday. No hotel and a minimum of 4 1/2 hours of driving might've had something to do with it.

Posted: 8/18/06 at 9:33pmSweeney, undoubtibly! What I wouldn't give to be in the audience that night! *Sigh* Why? WHY must I live so far from New York?
#22re: September 3 = What'd You Choose?
Posted: 8/18/06 at 9:33pmI am definitely at Dirty Rotten Scoundrels...bought my ticket last night! Front Mezz, Row A!
#23re: September 3 = What'd You Choose?
Posted: 8/18/06 at 9:54pmOMG I'm sooo happy I don't have to choose between the two now. I was really thinking about it, but now Sweeney's last show is at 7 so I will be at both.
