I don't see many people talking about this. But is anyone else REALLY happy that Sherie has FINALLY been nominated for a Tony??
She has been on Broadway since the mid 90's, and she's finally in a role that really shows off her talents, and she finally got recognized.
Although she's in a tough category with Victoria and Christina - I wish Sherie the best of luck also.
So show some love. Who's else is happy for Sherie and her Tony Nom?

ME! and i think she has a good chance of winning too!
Sherie is light years ahead of Christina as far as talent goes.
I am happy for SRS.
Oh, I'm ecstatic for Sherie! I love her. She's definitely deserves the recognition. :)

It's not at all a surprise to me that she was nominated. I'm hoping for Sutton to win, but I'm glad Sherie has been recognized...she's fantastic in DRS.
I'm really happy for her, though I don't think she's got much of a chance to snag the award. I'm surprised she's got lead, though - her part's not as big as some of the others.
Congrats, to Sherie, though. She really should've gotten one back in '00.
emcee, whatever would she have won for, back in 00?

I'm so happy for Sherie and she certainly deserves it.
Once she shows up she is in every song. Her role is at least as big as Erin Dilly's and I think she may sing as much as Clark.
I
Sherie!
BroadwayGirl107, I don't know about Sutton's chances of winning now, simple based on the fact that she received the only nomination for her show.
She didn't even get a nod, Jwei.
I know, TGIF.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed, though.

Personally, I think that Sutton has a better chance of taking home #2 than Christina has of winning. If I were in a poll, I'd go with Victoria Clark, just to be safe, but Sutton would be it if I were voting with my heart.
SRS should have been nominated for AIDA in 2000.

I loved her in The Last 5 Years......maybe she/they will take a picture of her and her co-star Norbert in L5Y and DRS at the Tony Luncheon. That would be cute!!!!!!
*sings* AHHHH MEEENNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN
(hehe like in Book Report from YAGMCharlie Brown)
Agreed. She definitly deserves the recognition. She's got an amazing voice.
Well, Write Sherie a Great Role and Music and POW!
But the Force of Clark seems Overwhelming,
Love a Good Race
and I think Sutton and Christina are keepin right up
who won the Kentucky Derby?
why wasn't Eden in this category?
Producer's choice

congrats Dilly
and all the Musical Women of Broadway
It's about time she gets what she truly deserves. I hope she wins though I know she porbbably will not
Would hate to see Sutton take it again(as nice as she is)Sherie aREALLY deserved one for "AIDA"! And she is sooo nice! If you have the chance - talk to her! GO SHERIE WE HEART YOU!
Have to add my "AMEN"!
Wheee! So many Amens!
I love Sherie, but in her Broadway.com interview she seems a bit ungrateful for the nomination:
"[My husband] Kurt was watching the nominations on CBS with my parents. They were letting me sleep in since I haven't slept since November basically and today was one of my few days to sleep in. So Kurt woke me up and said, 'Congratulations." And I said, 'I'm trying to sleep in!' Later Kurt said, 'Do you feel any different?' And I said, 'No,' so that's good to know. Nothing really changes. The Tonys are a big overpriced party that you want to be asked to, that's all. It's just an excuse to get to see everyone and get dressed up. And you wish that all your friends could be there. Unfortunately there are people every year who should go and don't. I really wish that Greg Jbara could go this year with us."
