Here he is, boys!
Here he is, Broadway World!
Here's CapnHook!

Curtain up!
Light the lights!
Play it, Marc Shaiman!

Ya either liked it, or ya didn't.
And, boys, ya didn't like it?
Ya like it?
Well, I didn't see it!

Some people saw it and like it fine.
Some people can't even give it try.
Some people's saw it
and their stomach's churnin' around!
You either like it
or hate it!

Hello, everybody! My name is CapnHook! What's yours?
How do you like them ticket sales, Mr. Weissler?
Hold your hats and hallelujah.
Rob & Craig are gonna show it to you.
Ready or not, shhh, here come the Shills!

Shills' talkin' loud.
Shills' doin' fine.
Shills' gettin' hot.
Shills' goin' stong.
Shills' movin' on.
Shills' all alone.
Shills do not care.
Shills' lettin' loose.
Shills' got the stuff.
Shills' lettin' go.
Shills?
Shills' got the stuff.
Shills' gotta move.
Shills' gotta go.
Shills? Shills?
Shills' gotta ****in' let go.

Why did they do it?
What did they bash it?
Message Boards full of shills in the background.
Give 'em hate and what does it get ya?
What does it get ya?
One quick look as each of 'em bashes you.
All your life and what does it get ya?
Thanks a lot and learn to grow up,
They take blows and you're battin' zero.

I had a dream.
I dreamed it for you, Matt_G.
It wasn't for me, pab.
And if it wasn't for me
then where would you be,
Miss Margo Channing?

Well, someone tell me, when is it my turn?
Don't I get a dream for myself?
Starting now it's gonna be my turn.
Broadway World, get off of my runway!
Starting now I post a thousand!
This time, boys, I'm taking the bows and

every topic's coming up again!
Every topic's coming up again!
Every topic's coming up again and again
four times a day!
Again! Again! Again! Again! Again!
Aaagaaaaaaaaaaaaaiinnn! Damn!

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

Inspired by "Pick-A-Little, Post-A-Little" from Standing Ovations.

Needs work, still, but does address some issues.

Now to make the recording...

Oh, Capn, you clever dog, you!

"This is what I trained to do, and this is what I love about theater. What I love about being an actress is being able to really look into myself and understand another human being. And out my own self, to shape and form and fashion a real human being--and to present that in such a way that people see something of themselves or their own understanding in that human being." --Phylicia Rashad

Not for anything, but you're kind of overreacting. I don't think the writer meant for it to be a work of art (but I could be wrong re: Shill's Turn).
For the record: I enjoyed it.

442 does seem to have SOMETHING stuck somewhere unpleasant

"TheatreDiva90016 - another good reason to frequent these boards less."<<>> “I hesitate to give this line of discussion the validation it so desperately craves by perpetuating it, but the light from logic is getting further and further away with your every successive post.” <<>> -whatever2

Oh, dear... um... why... well, now that I read it a SECOND time, I can see that it is CLEARLY a masterpiece. I can no longer even begin to doubt its genius! Bravo (brava)!

442, you could have very well stopped half-way through if you didn't like it and then spent your extra minute of time dislodging the stick up your @$$.

ZING!

Oh, poor 442. That's two whole minutes you could have spent kicking puppies. What a waste, huh?

442, you got served. *Nods, like there was some wisdom in that rather obvious statement*

And Cap'n, I'm out buying roses to throw at your feet even as we speak. re: Shill's Turn

And you decided to make your own thread instead of posting it in the Forbidden BWW thread I started?

Thanks a lot...

XD Very nice

And the other thing about the Phantom Lady was, Bert, she realized, in the city that never sleeps... What did she realize, Kitten? That all the songs she'd listened to, all the love songs, that they were only songs. What's wrong with that? Nothing, if you don't believe in them. But she did, you see. She believed in enchanted evenings, and she believed that a small cloud passed overhead and cried down on a flower bed, and she even believed there was breakfast to be had... Where? On Pluto. The mysterious, icy wastes of Pluto.
