"Has anyone else noticed that Idina Menzel likes enterances that could potentially leave her in much pain? I mean first... it's the bike in RENT, coming out a door, and going right to the front of the stage, even though there's no Orchestra Pit in Rent, and then Wicked... she comes booking in, and could potentioally fall into the pit and kill herself... lets hope she comes on in a safe way in SEE WHAT I WANT TO SEE."
Umm, too bad Idina's not stupid enough to fall off the stage like "Shodown" did! HAHAHAHAHA funniest thing I've heard all day!!
little wing, next your going to try to tell me shes not naturally green?
go sho and meagan for the show must go on attitude.

After Shoshana fell and Megan helped her up, was the music still playing with the ensemble coming up or it stopped? If it was still playing, how did Megan change that fast?
Wow, i would have liked to been at that show!! I remember one time at our dance recital i fell off the stage, i sprained my ankle really bad, but, i'm glad Shoshana wasn't hurt that bad.

I would have liked to have seen the conductor's face. I wonder how close she got to him.

I have fallen off the stage more times than I care to admit, I feel Shoshana's pain. But its always good to get back up and laugh at yourself.

you'd actually be surprised how SMALL the stage really is. it is slanted downward. even when JLT gave me a tour i felt like i was going to fall off. i can only imagine having to RUN down the center. but im glad she's ok
We saw the show last night in Denver and went to check out the pit after the show. They have netting over the pit on the tour. But feeling it and tugging on it, it didn't feel like it would support a human! And a piece of the set that is frequently used hangs over the pit.
I guess she can't defy gravity after all.

I love your avatar. Who is she?
Speaking of Wicked injuries, didn't Norbert sprain his neck because of the show and miss two months?
I thought Kristin hurt her neck, and Norbert hurt his back.
From Playbill: "Butz is on medical leave due to a back injury until Jan. 20; his understudy, Kristoffer Cusick, has been playing the role since Nov. 24. Diggs will stay with the show until Jan. 18."
Kristin was wearing a neck brace for a few shows . . .

I always wondered if the netting would hold someone up. I always thought it was to prevent little sh*t from falling into the pit (programs, confetti, etc.)
1. STOP calling Shoshana stupid. That's ridiculous and if you called Shoshana "stupid" or an "idiot" than you're a f.ucking idiot. Seriously, it's ridiculous.
2. Actually, Megan did the "OoOoOoOld Shiz" for a couple of extra "Oo"s and took an extra like 5 seconds to come out.

Except Maureen isn't actually ON the bike...

"that is probobly why there IS as a tarp/net in the pic as described..."
Actually netting over the pit is pretty much the industry standard. Don't want to risk ANYthing falling into the pit. Instruments are very expensive and musicians of that quality are invaluable.
And in regards to raked stages: it does throw you off the first few times you walk/move on a raked stage, but you get used to it pretty quickly.
captain O, thanks! it's sarah paulson who was jus in Menagerie, i think she's so pretty. :)
This just confirms my suspicions that this role is cursed.
You get a coveted lead in a huge hit show, swarming fans at the stage door, etc... but you also get the ELPHIE CURSE to go with it.
Future green girls... BE WARNED.
Didn't Shoshana also get her foot caught on the curtain once? The "spirits" clearly didn't get her the first or second time. I hope she'll be extra careful because they may come back for a third time around.
her foot got caught in the trap door as it was rising for the beginning of no good deed. no harm done then either i believe, besides a sore ankle.
the wicked curse has really got it out for her!
this is horrible but a bit funny... seriously what did the audience do? i would freak out if i saw that happen! i now believe along with everyone else that this role is cursed.
