me! Me and three friends decided to go for a picnic one day and it was really sunny. Then we found a really nice spot.... and it poured it down! So, we just ate all the food in the car and had a real laugh. My friend in the backsite shouted me and as i turned took this photo! There's a bigger one in my fan photos section.
Me likes your hair. That was not in a stalkerish way, btw.

If we're gonna have a topic like this every month till theres a new elphaba to complain about and compare to Idina, I think Ill hang myself.
I think Sho is doing an incredible job in the role. Ive been trying to get tickets to see her again with wickedrentq but wheelchair seating seems to be sold out all month!
I have to say, I'm a huge Idina fan, and don't get me wrong, her vocals are amazing. But I can appreciate someone like Shoshana, her abilities are incredible. That girl can mix so well you'd think she was belting her head off but shes actually singing in a healthy way so as not to damage her instrument. I love the little turns and changes shes made in the music, she adds something fresh to the role. I think most of all, Shoshana is a lot more consistant than the other Elphabas. Every time I've seen her, or heard a recording, she sounds fantastic, with a great healthy spin in her voice. The girl actually sings, instead of screaming like many others.Obviously this is just my opinion though, and it's okay if you don't agree.

k whoa, i have to stand up for shoshana here.
I saw her perform the show straight through, the 'Idina' way back in January, and she totally blew me away. there was not ONE riff that day, and it was STILL in my opinion better than Idina ever was. Yes, I do prefer Shoshana's voice over Idina to begin with, and all the 'vocal tricks' are apparently working, cause she blows me away (and most of the audience from what I hear).
She adds in the extra riffs and stuff cause that's what SHE can bring to Elphaba, it's her rendition of the song.
This bashing is pathetic, what kind of glory do you get from it? You're simply insulting everyones opinions cause of how you feel? Idina is talented, Shoshana is talented, Eden is talented, if they weren't, they wouldn't be where they are. Accept the fact that Idina has LEFT Wicked, and it's time to MOVE ON. Idina will prevail as the originator of the role, we're all VERY aware of that, however, let others bring joy and happiness to the role through their own unique means. And for the people who don't like Wicked and just bash it constantly, then DON'T post in the threads pertaining to it! They're not 'calling' you or 'making' you post. People are allowed to have a difference of opinion, that would be why shows stay in business.
YES DEFYING POPULAR YES! p.s. you part of elphabean?
Shoshana's voice makes me pee in my pants. She is classically trained, and that training allows her to sound "popish" with ease. Sure, Idina sounds great on the OBCR but live?
....
Live, Shoshana sounded incredible, and her voice is more than adequate for the role.

ok this whole thing has an impact on nothing....if you see her and love her, thats how you will probably stay....if u see her and dislike her that wont change either probably....she seems to be doin fine with tons and tons of fans and a show that is selling out so......all they wanted to know was the last day...i got too sick from reading this so as long as that was answered what else is there to say?
Is anyone else confused as to how this "my opinion is better than yours" war actually addresses the topic of the thread?

In regards to people planning to "dance outside the Theatre singing Ding Dong... " the day Wicked closes. I hope you have a lot of patience. That show is sOOOOOOOOOOOOOO financially successful that it will be a very long time before it closes. It has the cult appeal of RENT, and yet a Mid-west family appeal not to mention the Wizaed of Oz connection. I have heard Broadway Financial Analysts say it will Most likely run longer than Miss Saigon but not as Long as Les Mis.
I agree. This is a show that's going to be around for a while, like it or not.
^ There. It's changed. Now it fits. ^
Yeah I can def see wicked being a big cult classic, if it isnt already.
