Are there any shows, that weren't limited engagements, that closed without ever being on TKTS?

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

Just a guess:

THREE DAYS OF RAIN

Was Taboo ever on TKTS? Wasn't Rosie stingy about discounts?

I saw the final performance of TABOO on a discount from BroadwayBox.

So, what if it was? That doesn't mean it couldn't be on TKTS?

Am I correct in saying: "Boy From Oz" I might be wrong but it won't be the first... re: Shows that closed without ever being on TKTS?

"So, what if it was? That doesn't mean it couldn't be on TKTS?"

Learn how to read. The original question EXCLUDED limited engagements. I don't ever recall Three Days of Rain appearing at TKTS. The tickets from the box office sold very well...it was the ticket brokers who bought them that couldn't get rid of them!

The Boy From Oz was definitely on TKTS. Especially early on in its run.

I'm most likely wrong, but All Shook Up, I never remember seeing it.

I saw All Shook Up on the TKTS boards during the summer of 2005 almost every day. Was The Odd Couple on TKTS? I don't remember if that was a limited engagement or not.

I believe Lestat was not at TKTS. I got tickets to my first performances on-line before it opened and, towards the end of the run, I had tickets courtesy of the marketing firm. So I wasn't paying close attention to TKTS.

I'm sure Lestat was on TKTS. It even showed up on TDF during its last weeks.

"Was Taboo ever on TKTS? Wasn't Rosie stingy about discounts?"

She was stingy? naive? non-caring? about putting the tickets out to the papering services. When you are running 30% attendance, you should have pity on your actors and try to fill the house anyway that you can.

If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

I heard that Roundabout's The Pajama Game revival was sold out for its run after it opened- no need for TKTS.

Every night of the Odd Couple's extension was on TKTS anyway.
