ME & JULIET. Really? I have the script and the recording and that's a "What were they thinking?" project if I ever saw/heard one.

(What they were thinking was "Let's do a traditional musical comedy", but that was never Hammerstein's forte.)

I'd argue that was more Abbott's doing than anything else. I love the score and find the concept of the show extremely interesting. I think it's just begging for the right creative team to give it a makeover, but that's very unlikely.
