What shows do you miss the most and wish would have a revival soon. For me, it's honestly Hairspray. Sorry but I'm obsessed with the music and the movie is just awful. Plus I never got to see this show live
. Others for me would be Catch Me If You Can, Anything Goes, and probably Guys and Dolls. What about you guys?

On the Twentieth Century (I was totally banking on Chenoweth bringing this back, but she seems more interested in scheduling EVERYTHING ELSE ON THE PLANET besides this)

Next To Normal - Original Off-Broadway Cast
Rent - Original Broadway Cast
Bonnie and Clyde
I have never seen NTN or Bonnie and Clyde anywhere, and I would give anything to go back in time to see the Original Broadway Cast of Rent in 1996. I was only 10, so not exactly appropriate at the time.

Posted: 11/12/13 at 10:15pmI'd love to see a revival of Barnum. Such a fantastic score, fun characters and a good story. Would make another good circus show to run alongside Pippin.

Posted: 11/13/13 at 12:38amI really don't want to see anything come back in revivals, because in all likelihood, they're going to mucked up in some way and ruined. Now, if they could be revived just the way they were, that would be another story. I'd love to see Milk and Honey, Tenderloin, The Happiest Girl in the World, The Student Gypsy, The Gay Life, Tovarich, Sophie, Ben Franklin in Paris, so many others... but only the way they were!

Two shows I'd love to see come back with their original staging are City of Angels and The Secret Garden. City of Angels was such a unique show with amazing black and white vs. color sets and the whole thing just flowed so well and was entertaining as hell. Incredible score, too.
The Secret Garden had one of the most beautiful sets I think I've ever seen, I'll never forget the ending of Act 1 when the door "draws" itself with light and Mary opens it. And the finale when a never ending series of scrims drop down revealing the garden. Wow. Lily's Eyes and Hold On are two of my favorite bway tunes, too.
Tommy was pretty bad ass too.

The Light in the Piazza needs to come back when I'm in my 20's so that I can play Clara.
...oh, that's not what you meant?
(In all seriousness, I think Titanic should come back for real, not just a one night thing).

Allegro is beautiful and deserves to work, I think it could. Maybe if someone like Craig Lucas would work on the book.
I'll always take a Gypsy revival.
I'm a big believer in if you aren't bringing something new to a piece, don't revive it. That can all be in the casting but it's very tricky. That's why I'm a little bummed Alan Cumming is playing the Emcee. I love his performance, and the beauty of theater is he can change it every time, but why cast the same actor? Why remount the same staging? Kander and Ebb have such a rich catalogue.
remount the same staging
