So three new Queens joined the Queendom tonight- Brennyn Lark, Keri Renee Fuller, and Bre Jackson- all were phenomenal additions to the cast. However, after a strong start, Bre Jackson left stage prior to Anne Boleyn’s solo and at the conclusion of “Don’t Lose Your Head” the Stage Manager came over the God Mic and announced technical difficulties and the band and cast left stage. After maybe 10 minutes the show resumed and Bre was back only to leave again only to leave at the beginning of “The Get Down” and midway through the cast moved left of stage and Bre was replaced with Nicole Lambert who also was great! I’m a little confused as to why they just didn’t replace her during the hold as the understudy wasn’t one of the new covers that began tonight. Bre killed her solo and I can only imagine what she would’ve done the rest of the show. I hope she gets well soon if she’s hurt or ill!

I don’t know the answer but I would imagine it takes a while to get into costume and makeup if Nicole had no hint that she might be on. Perhaps it just gave her a little more time to get ready without holding up the show any longer??
She hasn't been back. She's previously posted stories indicating a health issue and waiting for doctors to clear her. I hope she's okay. This must be heartbreaking for her

Especially since she doesn’t get paid if she doesn’t perform. She’s only assigned a certain amount of paid sick days. Laura Benanti learned this early on in her career when she let her understudy go on for one performance - she didn’t know they don’t pay you if you miss a performance. Lesson learned.
