Both are on at 9pm tomorrow night. I know there are other things on (including a new "Mad Men") but I was wondering if people are interested in both what will you watch live and what will you DVR?
Personally, I'll probably watch "Smash" and catch "Behind the Candelabra" on HBO OnDemand.
It's like Sophie's Choice.

At least Game of Thrones isn't new tomorrow--that wouldn't even be a contest for me.
Why do people think Liberace was gay?

Well, SMASH could use the ratings... So SMASH!!
I'm dying to see both!
I'll watch Smash tomorrow, and then probably watch Behind the Candelabra some other time.

I will watch Smash for I will miss it so. I will On Demand the Liberace, mostly because I have been enjoying Soderbergh's final laps as he just keeps cranking the ish out month after month. As for Liberace, there already were two TV movies 25 years ago (time flies, kids, mark Namo's words) and I will always be partial to the beloved Victor Garber's portrayal.
And speaking of Smash, I have had it up to here with all these Isherwoody "appreciation" articles in which the writer says he or she doesn't actually like the show but will watch because, well, because why the hell I don't know. Yes, Smash was a mess. But it was our mess. And I truly am going to miss it when it's gone.
I'll watch Smash and dvr Liberace -- but since its on HBO they'll be playing the hell out of it.
And how can Smash NEED the ratings? It's already cancelled -- even if is the most watched show of the season it will still be cancelled.
Going to watch Smash because I don't get HBO.

HBO airs 'Behind the Candelabra' Sunday at 9 p.m., but has an encore showing immediately after that at 11 p.m.
So watch 'Smash' at 9 p.m. on NBC, then switch to HBO at 11.
Problem solved!

I won't see either of them until Monday at least. Tomorrow is all about Arrested Development.
It's an embarrassment of riches for tv viewing tonite. I'll be watching SMASH (and recording it on my dvr) and seeing "Behind the Candelabra" later on. I'll prolly dvr it as well. Thank goodness "Game of Thrones" is not on tonight. I sincerely hope SMASH does not end on an ambiguous note. I can't scream at the tv as my allergies have affected my voice. I'm quite hoarse. I'm drinking as much hot coffee as I can. Any other (non sarky ) suggestions?
I know it's already cancelled, drama, but the Don't cancel SMASH movement is still very much alive. They're now stalking other networks to pick up the show.

"The Don't cancel SMASH movement is stil very much alive."
This is a pretty loose definition of alive.
And for the millionth time: if you aren't a nielson family, the fact that YOU are watching it doesn't make a difference.
And its too expensive for another station to take it over.
Yeah, that's the problem they're having. PBS released a statement on the matter.

Who in their right mind would even approach PBS about Smash? Bravo? Sure. Oxygen? Why not? PBS? No way.
Yeah, PBS is not a good candidate to pick it up. And the other thing is, the finale ended up being set up as a series finale, so it would take a lot of digging to make something dramatic out of the pretty happy ending. Plus, I would guess at this point like everyone who worked on that show has moved on and is either employed doing something else or is in the process of that.
They're now reaching out to Netflix.
Why would anyone take a gamble on this show at this point? It hasn't proven itself with DVD sales or a sizable enough following for Netflix to find it worthwhile, like Arrested Development- and AD had critical praise and awards, too.
It's expensive, had lousy ratings, and terrible reviews.

Denial is not just a river in Egypt.
Again, I didn't hate the show like others do, but they really would be digging for a storyline with that ending. What are they going to do? Have Ivy and Derek all happy and then she has to leave Bombshell to have the baby? Karen still has no personality?
I think it says something that the writers actually wrote it like it should end instead of it getting cancelled with a cliffhanger and them believing it would be back for season 3.
