They still have lots to work with. They could develop the movie musical, Ivy's abortion, Anna's character, a Hit List movie starring its OBC, Gatsby!, Tom's romantic affairs...
That's absolutely no incentive for it to continue. Every TV show has things to work with. That's the point.
Based on the ending I think it's pretty clear Ivy's not getting an abortion.
I know that Kad, my comments were in response to Marianne's post.
Eris, I'm completely pro-life but I can't really see Ivy leaving her show and having a baby just after winning a Tony. It wouldn't make sense.
Obviously we watched different shows last night
I know that Ivy told her mother she was planning to take some time off, and that she seemed happy with Derek at the end of the episode, I just don't think it would be wise to have the baby and throw away her career. Specially not after watching two seasons of her working so hard to be where she is right now.
You do realize that b'way actors DO have babies, right?

But dramamama, that would interfere with the drinking and drugs and GLAMOUR
Yes, of course! But do they really have them after just landing their first leading role and first Tony, having spent so many years struggling to get there?
GET OVER IT. IT'S CANCELLED. END OF STORY. MOVE FORWARD. THAT IS ALL.
1. Many do, many don't.
2. Carlos is right.
Does having a baby still go hand-in-hand with throwing away your career? Or did that end with women's lib? Or did the whole "women's movement" not happen for some posters around here?
Arrested Development, Mad Men, Candelabra, Smash- it was a banner weekend for the gay middlebrow.

I know right? Straight people hate this crap, especially Mad Men and Arrested Development!
Phyl, you know what I mean! This weekend's television was a middlebrow gay man's paradise. Of course, middlebrow straights were welcome to enjoy it too!
