NBC cancelled it, but think of all the shows that changed networks and survived.
The CW will pick it up, rebrand it as "Nash" and make it a show about a Broadway show doing a National tour. Each episode will be filmed in a different city.
Anjelica Huston will throw drinks in the faces of skeevy city mayors, theater security guards and over-friendly bus drivers. (She will start a new trend of women carrying a cocktail glass in their purses.)
Derek will make his way through sleeping with city newspaper arts journalists, theater-party matinee ladies and theater usherettes.
Ivy will sit in hotel bars and drink with the chorus dancers.
Karen will be moody and sit in her room and wonder why she didn't make it as Marilyn, why nobody liked her performance in Hitlist and why she couldn't save Jeremy Jordan from his self-destructive behavior.
Ann Harada will be stoic, efficient and the voice of reason.

Well....it's sad because this show is about Broadway and it gives an inside look on what goes on behind these Broadway productions, though it can be unrealistic at times.
But it's also a good thing because the show quickly went downhill and crashed. For me, the characters were just sooo horrendous and horrible that it ruined everything for me.

Posted: 5/10/13 at 11:23pmI honestly think the writers didn't give a crap about this show. Smash started strong with positive reviews, but as it went on, it got worse and worse. I mean, if it's not the writers' fault, then whose fault is it?

GOOD NEWS!!!!!
Rosie O'Donnell just tweeted that she will invest in the show, rewrite it and get it on the O Network. Smash is saved!

Posted: 5/10/13 at 11:35pmThe last episode was a mess from beginning to end. It's for the better to just wrap everything up this year, which is what will happen. The writers were smart to make the final episode of season 2 the series finale.

Sad day for Bway Actors with TV shows. The Gaggle from SMASH, Andrew, Josh and Laura all lost their gigs on one day.
Now if they would get rid o the Chrlie Sheen thing we could get Michael Arden and all of them back on the boards!

^ all that jazz, I don't care how good it is, it's a television show.
I really did love the show and hope that Megan Hilty and Christian Borle find work soon - they were highlights for me! Also, anyone else see MTI creating a licensed version of Bombshell?
