Drug Use is glamourous? Infidelity is glamourous? Lying is glamourous?, Promiscuity is glamourus? Low morals are glamourous?
I don't think that word means what you think it means.

It depends on the context and the characters involved.
Those things would be considered trashy if they're done by trashy people, just as they could become glamorous if diamonds, jazz, and sequins are involved, like in my tumblr:

And BTW, Happy Mother's Day drama!

Sorry - I'm with dramamama on this one. Diamonds, jazz and sequins do not make drug use, infidelity, lying, promiscuity and low morals glamourous. I don't think context and characters make a difference - at least to me.
But to each his/her own I suppose.

Let me know how glamourous it is when your spouse cheats on you. Or what it's like to attend the funeral of a 21 year old that died from a drug overdose.
The actions make the person -- not the other way around.

Well maybe the drug overuse is a bit too much. I'm not condoning these actions in real life, but they can look glamorous on stage and screen. Again, do you not find Chicago or All That Jazz to be glamorous?
Just for the record, I haven't done any of those things.

I'm not sure you understand the intent of Chicago.

all that jazz you take the prize for the most delusional, shallow, pretentious person on this board.
...oh and excuse me, you expect us to believe you're straight.
my gaydar blows out every time you post.

I don't have to prove I'm straight. I'm confident in my sexual orientation.

I didn't ask you if you were comfortable with your "sexuality". But thanks for the information.

Satire is not an "intent", its a style.

Well then the intent of of the show is to satirize the vices it portrays.

Nope. Not the intent, at all.

Well I always thought the show was supposed to satirize corruption and the power of celebrity in America, but feel free to enlighten me.
Carlos, I fixed it.

Here's part of your problem -- you don't know the meaning of the words you use. Those are not vices.

Vice: Noun
Immoral or wicked behavior.
How are corruption and cheating not vices?

All That Jazz,
Your postings give me the impression you are a teenager who lives in a fantasy world. There is nothing wrong with fantasy and perhaps it helps you get through difficult things in the real world. One day you may grow-up. SMASH is no more. The world will go on.

All That Jazz seems to have mixed up camp and excess with glamour.
Perhaps he heard the word used to describe the new "Great Gatsby" film and missed which parts were glamorous.

Sadly, I'm still trying to grasp the meaning of camp so I can't elaborate on that.
I don't know why but I've always felt fascinated by the burlesque, more dark and provocative side of Broadway and art in general, and I've always though of it as glamorous.

This is a thread about the cancellation of SMASH, not to argue with each other about the meaning if "vice" and "glamor". If you want to argue, please do it in private. Anyways, at least we don't have to deal with that baby plot line...

That's the line that made me laugh the loudest.
Now, THAT'S comedy!

But he lives on in the opening credits.

If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

I will not sit here and read one more word of negativity about promiscuity.
