So...how many of you are/were students at Rydell High?

Random question...but "Grease" just came on TV. It's been a while since I've watched this movie and I was wondering.

This show is a staple in high school and community theatre.

So, how many posters here have appeared as students/staff in a stage mounting of GREASE? If so...who?

Almost, I played Vince Fontaine the one non-student/staff member in the show, I believe.
BSoBW2: I punched Sondheim in the face after I saw Wicked and said, "Why couldn't you write like that!?"

I played Doody in a 2003 production of Grease with a community theater group at SUNY Purchase college in New York.

I'm in it right now, as Teen Angel (but also doing a tiny bit of chorus, for fun). I am planning on channeling Billy Porter for my song (as best I can...haha).

I have been a student at Rydell High twice in my life--both times playing Sandy. I really despise the show. It's Raining on Prom Night will always live in the deep recesses of my brain, waiting to get stuck in my head.

I've directed the show more than once. Unfortunately. It's one of my very least favorites ever. Grrr...

My college is doing it as its big mainstage spring musical.
I know, what? Why Grease?
Whatev.
I don't particularly like the show, but I feel like it would be a lot of fun to be in.
I haven't had the pleasure yet in my life, haha.
I just hope the director is willing to have at least one Asian Greaser...

i've been johnny casino and teen angel.

ah.

i love those magic changes. it's the most underrated song in the show in my humble opinion!
"...But Kungurtseva reels off multiple fouettes and the tape is stopped so she can take a bow. The Jester, an abomination introduced to Swan Lake in Soviet times, extorts applause from the audience. The cuts don't help the storytelling, the production is bare bones and they go for the '50s-style happy ending. The audience cheers like mad at the end. It's the Russian ballet, after all..."

I was double-cast as Vince Fontaine and the Teen Angel when I was a senior.
