FIrst of all, YAY!

Second of all... what should I wear? I know it's black tie, and I want to look good, but I don't want to go so crazy that I look like a nominee walking down the carpet.

A slick black suit works fine (that's what I wear to the Tony's). Not keen on a tuxedo as I always feel like I'm attending a wedding (even most male 'stars' don't even wear tuxedos anymore -- some even wear jeans with a black jacket).

As long as you don't wear hat and tails -- you should be fine.

I wore a tux when I went and did not feel out of place at all. Elphie, A nice black dress will be fine.

Elphie - if you're young, a cocktail dress may be better than a gown. If you are (or look) HS or college age, a gown may look too prom-ish.

"Look" the way YOU want YOU to LOOK.

It's you. Nobody's going to kick you out because of what you decided to wear.

Don't base your decisions on what you think other people are going to think of you.

It's your night. Be YOU and enjoy it.

Who gives a **** what anybody is going to think of what you're wearing?
