1) Has anyone heard if the OB show Music City will happen this season? Apparently there were issues with the venue?
2) Any word on whether or not Paranormal Activity will sweep in this fall? Sounds like Halloween would be an ideal time.
3) Still hoping someone might know when tix will go on sale for the Jamie Lloyd Much Ado. Was hoping to gift them to someone this summer.

Tickets for MUCH ADO will be going on sale right around the Tonys.

I don’t have a date for “Paranormal Activity”, but it is coming to Broadway.

We still don't even know the dates yet right? Been starting to preliminarily plan my fall trip but was waiting for some firm dates before I did. Right now I think the only dates I know for sure are Galileo and Wanted

I saw Paranormal Activity during its DC run. It has a few cool special effects but is not a good play. And this is coming from me, a horror fanatic who loves the Paranormal Activity movies. It will burn and die quickly on Broadway.

Which means cheap tickets, so I'm all for it.

It got some great reviews out of town, so just because some gingerbread man thinks it will “burn and die” quickly on Broadway does not make it so.

No but really, it's so disappointing. Tourist trap.

I actually think a limited run of Paranormal Activity on Broadway would make a lot of sense. If it opened in July it would catch the summer tourists, then carry through Halloween when spooky season gives it a natural boost, then close after the Christmas tourist wave before the January slump. The title already has recognition and the material is exactly what Gen Z responds to right now. It is dark, mysterious, sexy, scary, and it gives them something big and cool to post about as much as something to experience.
The play itself is small and clean with six actors and a unit set, which makes it easy to position as a seasonal event. Cast hot, relevant actors like Thomas Doherty and Ayo Edebiri, and it becomes the kind of thing both tourists and locals want to catch while it is here. It feels like the right mix of timing, title, and audience appetite.
