and when performed in regional theatres, I cry everytime during the finale in Ragtime when there's that little piano playing a ragtime tune, then the ensemble sings "On the wheels of a dream!"
"Hey, you! You're the worst thing to happen to musical theatre since Andrew Lloyd Webber!"
-Family Guy
'Dividing Day' from Light in the Piazza and 'Nothing in Common' from Jason Robert Brown's Wearing someone else's clothes album both bring a lump to the throat at the moment.
Goodbye Until Tomorrow, Last 5 Years If I Didn't Believe In You, Last 5 Years For Good, Wicked Alive, Company
I made a list of all your faults, it was quite detailed and lengthy too and when I read it through I missed you. Your like a classic Eagles song, you just cant help but sing along even though it sometimes gets annoying too. I just know I want to be wherever I can wake and see you there next to me. **High Fidelity**
Love is what I do **The Wedding Singer**

Just my $.02
There are some people in the world who say that writing stories, or composing music or dancing sparkly dances is easy for them. Nothing interferes with their ability to create. While I celebrate their creative freedom, a little part of me just wants to punch those motherf*ckers in the teeth...[tos]
It's incredibly rare for me to cry while simply listening to a recording in my room, car, or wherever else. There is one song that brings me to tears every time I listen to it, and that's Judy Garland's "You'll Never Walk Alone". She made two recordings of it, one in the early 40's and another in the late 50's/early 60's. The latter version always turns me into an emotional basketcase.
Also, I've cried every time I have seen Rose's Turn performed live.
"Some Things Are Meant to Be" - Little Women "Home" - The Wiz "You'll Be in My Heart" - Tarzan (yes, I admit it)
and, obviously, "For Good" - Wicked
I just moved away from North Carolina, my home of four years. My best friend there and I (who share a love for Wicked) kind of unofficially dubbed "For Good" as "our song", so whenever I hear it or sing it, I start bawling. My four years in NC were the best years of my life, so that's also why "Home" gets me teary-eyed.
I forgot "Saying Goodbye" from The Muppets Take Manhattan. It so upset me as a kid that one time when I was watching it, my mom thought I had injured myself, I was crying so hard.
I watched it on YouTube a while ago to see if I could get through it. I was a mess by 15 seconds in...
"Grease," the fourth revival of the season, is the worst show in the history of theater and represents an unparalleled assault on Western civilization and its values. - Michael Reidel
