Argh I wonder when callbacks will be?!
Zeitoujo: I wish I knew.
I'm so anxious to know whats going on.
I wanna know how I did.
I wish they had said yes or no that day.
-sigh-

No matter what happens, just be very proud of the fact that you got up the courage to do it and followed through. That alone is a very big deal.
Indeed it is, broadwayjim.
I feel very proud of myself, especially after all the self-doubt over my looks in the beginning.
I thank LePetiteFromage and several posters on here for the vote of confidence in the beginning which all lead to this!

Congratulations to all of you who auditioned during the Open Calls. I hope you had fun, and I know that the experience is something you'll remember for a long time. Just wanted to say, though, that it isn't a good idea (or healthy!) to sit around awaiting a call to come in for a callback. The percentage of people who will get a callback is miniscule, and, generally speaking, it will be college age kids who are currently in BFA or BA Theatre programs. For those of you who are interested in a career onstage, continue your training, do your research for a good college program, and focus on that. There will be many more auditions in your future!
Thats very true erinrebecca
I'm currently a theater major, so I understand that callback percentages are few or far between.
But, I still want to know.
But, I'm not making it my entire world. It was an experience and it was a BIG step in my acting career, it was my first professional audition.
CONGRATULATIONS to ALL of you GUYS!!!
I am soo proud for all of you... you guys already proved yourself... by just showing up there and auditioning..... This is a great experience!!!
GOOD LUCK! and I wish ALL the BEST

clumsydude, I understand that you want to know. :) Waiting is difficult, but chances are good that you, and most other people who auditioned at the open call, won't hear anything. Even those who do receive a callback from an open call often don't get that callback til several months later. Immediate callbacks are not always the norm. In any case, for professional auditions, you should go into it prepared to do your best, attend with a positive attitude, enjoy yourself, then move on.
erinrebecca---> Thank you so much for the insight.

Remy Zaken sang "Out Tonight" for her first audition, but said she doesn't reccomend it in an interview. I love her, she's so cute.

A friend of mine was recently cast as a Melchior understudy in the national tour. He had submitted a video audition so they do look at them. Most importantly, show lots of your personality and have fun! Confidence is crucial.

Anyone have a good suggestion to sing for a video submission? I planned on singing "Ill Be". And I thought I read somewhere that they didn't want trained singers.
