I know there is a thread on this and I've looked twice and I can't find it and I was kind of in need of this information so please forgive me for asking again on a new thread.
What time would people suggest getting there to get rush tickets for the Sunday matinee and is it just a certain row or do they just give what is avaiable like TWS use to do?
Thank you so much for any information and sorry again
i'd get there when the box office opens at 12. maybe an hour early just to be safe.
I'll be there in line with ya!
my friend and i went to the box office at 6:20 tonight (after losing the Chorus Line lotto yet again) and got two student rush tix for tonight's 7pm performance- mezz row B, dead center. Is rush really that much more crowded on the weekend, that you'd get there before the box office opens?

From my experience they just sell whatever seats are left over. I think they do have some seats on the side in the front of the orchestra set aside for rush but when they are gone it isn't hard to get other seats. I'd say get there when it opens to have the best availability but you can get there a bit before showtime and still get a seat and the theater isn't that big...
I'll be rushing for the Sunday matinee too!

If I get to the box office around 1:30 tomorrow, do you think there is any possibility that I could get a rush ticket seat? *I only need 1 seat*
Do they only sell a certain amount of rush tickets?
How crowded has it been?

The three times I've rushed I've been all over the place. The first time I was second row center. The second time I was on stage. And the third time I was in the third to last row of the theatre.

mijofly, were any of them obstructed views?
How many rush tickets are available per day?
If all the rush tickets are sold out when I get there, do you think they'll be regular priced tickets left?

No none of the seats were obstructed view. I don't know how many rush tickets they sell, but I don't think you'll have a problem getting regular tickets if they're sold out. It will probably be up on TKTS.
I did rush a few weekends ago.
Got there at 10:05 for 3 matinee rush seats.
Orchestra row C, 3 dead center seats.
A followup on the above post: Keep in mind that that rush was for when the show was still in previews. Now that it's gotten those reviews I assume it will be a bit more difficult to rush. Updated On: 12/14/06 at 06:42 PM

Are they normal student rush tickets? I've been hearing good stuff about the show, so I was thinking about seeing it when I'm in NYC in a couple of weeks.
Can I get tickets for the night show in the morning?

So, I should probably not get my hopes up for student rush and just plan on buying the regular tickets since I probably won't get there until about 1:30.
I really don't think you'll have a problem at 1:30 for an 8 o'clock show, SweetQintheLights. Good luck though, and if you do see the show, I hope you love it.

I'm back from NYC. I went and got to the box office *yesterday* at 12:20- no rush tickets were left.
I bought a regular priced ticket though. It was ok- the way it got reviews, I thought I'd like it more but...meh, to each his own
what seats did you get? i asked for on stage seats and they told me that it was sold out.
Any more word on the recent activity of the rush? I'm hoping to catch it while I'm home for winter break and I'm wondering how early I'll need to get there now that the ticket sales have exploded...
I did student rush for last Saturday's matinee. I got there at around 9:05am and there were around 7 people in front of me. The line grew a lot longer around 9:30am. I was able to get 3 Aisle Orchestra seats which were actually really good. I'm planning to rush for this Wednesday's matinee. I'm not sure if I'll have to go earlier than 9 since the show is gaining popularity.

I got rush seats for this evening with a friend. I showed up at 8:50 and was 7th in line.. and the line grew rapidly after 9. My ticket is row F in the mezz.

Hey everyone, I recently got the cast recording for Christmas and I've fallen in love with it! Quick question, how have the rush lines been? My hope is to try rush for this weekend, either Saturday or Sunday(Is there a show on New Years Eve?). Any idea what my chances are?
I went yesterday and I got there around 10:15 and there were still rush tickets left. The only thing is that they were rear mezz, last row.

Really? I really don't mind what seat I get, my time is limited as I go back to school on the 2nd and won't be able to see the show til my next vacation.
I'm actually aiming for Sunday, and according to telecharge, the performance is at 2:00. What time does the box office open on Sunday?
