Posted: 4/7/07 at 11:56amWay to use the search function. But July is a few months away and nobody can predict how the rush will be. Either way, you will probably have to get to the box office 2-3 hours before it opens. Yes the should still do student rush in the summer.

Estimated 2-3 hours wait this summer? Yikes.
I rushed earlier this week with a friend to see the show for the first time. Got there about 9:30 AM and there were maybe 8 people ahead of us (although that went up when 2 people allowed their 3 friends to cut the line, each of whom ended up buying two ticktes a piece).
I was a bit disappointed as we got Row T, the very last row. We still had a wonderful time though and how can you really complain about $26.00 Orch tickets.

Posted: 4/27/07 at 5:03pmhow is the rush on sundays and wat time does the box office open since i am going to watch spring awakening on may 13... and how are the seats
#79re: Spring Awakening rush information
Posted: 4/27/07 at 9:22pmI wanted to know is it better to rush or just buy on stage seating?
#80re: Spring Awakening rush information
Posted: 4/27/07 at 9:28pmBuying the on stage seats guarantees you a ticket, I'd say the stage seats are better, they're just a few dollars more and you don't have to wait in line for seats that may not be as good.

Posted: 5/1/07 at 4:00pmAnyone who's done standing room...how's the view? And can you purchase the ticjets at any time during the day? I know for a lot of the shows it's about an hour or two before the performance, but I checked Talkin' Broadway and it only says "on the day of the performance".

ewww
sooo i learned a new lesson...
don't do the wicked lottery especially if you have bad luck (lost already 4 times)
so i went directly to the spring awakening box office after the wicked lottery. like 12:15ish... no more student rush tickets. and i asked the guy there how much are the stage tickets he said $66... i thought it was only 31... or is this on the day of the performance its $66... so wat does the box office open on sundays jus to be safe because i want to watch Spring Awakenin or Legally blonde

I never heard of on stage tickets being 66 bucks...they are not supposed to be according to the website.
Are you sure he didn't misunderstand you and think you wanted to buy 2?

Posted: 5/5/07 at 9:59pmI am rushing June 6th, which is a Thursday. That is right before the Tony's and such, should I expect it to be a lot more crowded? I want to guarantee that I get a ticket since it would be my first time seeing the show. I am getting in the rush line at 6 AM.

Has anyone rushed on a weekday recently? I'm debating on trying tomorrow. I know it might be a little busier than usual due to all the excitement of the Tony noms, but I'm wondering what the necessary time of arrival has been of late.
thanks!!

I'm thinking of seeing SA this Sunday.
1) Since the box office opens at noon, about what time should I get there? 8-830 or would 10-10:30 be better since it is a Sunday and opens later?
2) About how many tickets would you say they sell on average, since it apparently varies each performance?
3) Do both matinee and evening tickets go on sale at the same time?

1) I would say 8:45-9:15...Sundays decently busy so earlier the better.
2) Um...I'm pretty sure it's at least 25...it's a fairly large number
3) yes

I rushed yesterday (Thursday 5/31) -- Didn't arrive until almost 11 thanks to some transportation delays. There was only one ticket left when I arrived, located in Mezz row J. Weekday rushers, consider yourselves warned!

Posted: 6/1/07 at 12:51pmI got there this past Sunday around 9:30 and there were tons of people in line already, but I had no problem getting tickets (Row E orch) and neither did the people behind me, of which there were many. I think it helps that they do two performances on Sundays.
