Because it did SO well the first time around....
I saw the revised London edition about ten years ago... I still have a headache. Revival...I honestly hope not.

Is is still playing in Vegas? I cannot imagine a revival. I like the show!
nah it's not in vegas anymore....i hate that show. UGH.
well there seems to be a renewal of love going on for rollarskating...
hehehe.
Shut up, dramatothemax, you know it's your favorite show. Ever.
Saw it back when it was playing at the Hilton here in Vegas. I think my mother and I are the only two people on Earth who love that show. Except maybe ALW himself, but he doesn't count.

Care to explain "why" you hate this show. All I ever see is "I hate this show, I hate that show" with no feasible or logical, or "considered" explanations. It's a pity
It's like someone who walks into the street and says "I hate the Arabs." And somone else says "why do you hate the Arabs?" and he says "because.. I just do." And then later he tells you and he says "because I saw, on the news, they're blowing everyone up" without even considering as to why they're blowing everyone up: taking a narrow-minded view without both sides to the stories.
I rest my case.
If Starlight comes back, good luck to it. Though I don't think much of the show, because they always kept changing it, and it seemed too big for its own good. I don't hate the show, but I don't think much of it either. And I hope I made my point clear there
This show ran way too long the first time around.
It's a loud, long, loud, boring, loud, stupid, loud piece of crap.
Oh - it's way too loud.
Rath, Did you remember it was LOUD too?? LOL!!
I'm not saying that it needs a revival, but I saw the US tour two years ago and loved it! It was geared towards kids, and they gave out "Safety" glasses (as they were called) for the race sections because they were done in 3D on a screen. I had a great time and the two other people with me enjoyed themselves as well. The best part was seeing al the kids around me enjoy themselves. Most of them had probably never been to the theatre and they were loving every minute of it. It may not be the best show... but at least it's getting a new generation hooked!

Well, the last two tours did okay...and the Vegas production ran longer than expected.
A revival on Broadway would be welcome in my book. I admit to liking the show...although I think they'd be better off keeping it on the road, maybe doing a stop in NYC along the way, than a sit down Broadway run.
I saw a tour years ago in Boston (with Sean McDermott) that was so-so; I did see it in London, and liked it much better. But there are certainly more deserving shows to be revived (including ALW 'Song and Dance', not to mention 'Evita') before this one.
I, too, saw the tour 2 years ago (this weekend, actually!) It's one of my favorite ALW shows, for some reason (I took my mom for her Christmas present, because she also likes the show!) I think it's a better show than most people say, and it is a pretty cool kids show.

Ok yall can be mad at me, but everyone has to like one AWFUL ALW show, and mine is DEF Starlight! I seriously have seen it three times and am proud! It is not the best show, but it is fun fluffy fun, and come on U.N.C.O.U.P.L.E.D is a great song!!! LOL!
it's another of my guilty pleasures! (hangs head)
