Instead of being remembered for The Lion King she will be remembered for this monstrosity
The last Brooklyn Bridge musical was Kelly - 1 performance. It make actually beat Spiderman the way things are going.
The flying sequences should have all been worked out before they set foot in the theater . The only thing they should have been worried about were the book & score .
My question is are they going to be able to do all of the things requested in the letter from the NYS Assembly by tomorrow evening?
You'd have to ask DMM. He doesn't want the show to be safe. He just wants it to be closed.
You'd have to be as mental as DMM to want to be doing press relations anywhere near this show. They are doing a disastrous job of it. Who the hell even let the word 'indefinite' get put into the NY Post relating to the delays? Such a major, major, major error.

Given how tightly timed I'm sure the cues must be for this, I doubt they have a whole lot of wiggle room on the book and score at this point. It would require all new programming for the computers running the show, and I'm kinda betting they've run to the bottom of those deep pockets.
OK- so on the replies to the Gawker story about tonight, this came up. Super creepy stagedoor truth... or super creepy lie? I'm going with the latter, but this is really... creepy.
Def. a lie. Especially after that whole costume thing..

"and a rule that cast members waiting to be harnessed for aerial stunts have to be kept away from moving objects that could cause injuries."
I'm confused, were they supposed to stand in front of moving objects before this rule?
I think the costume thing gave it away as a lie/joke. The pie thing too.
Fairies like you whose no no places gets hard when Aaron Tveit wiggles around on stage?

Did Disneyland Magic Man really just make a homophobic comments and say "fairies like you"?
I think that's against the BWW Terms of Service.
hahah- Totally missed that costume part. I hope that's not a joke post, cause even for gawker standards, that's pretty lame. Else, someone lives a pretty well fabricated fantasy life.

Why weren't the safeguards now being put in place required after the first outside inspection?
I read Gawker a lot and that poster is like their equivalent of baileyhoo, that site only recently was covering this and suddenly this person showed up. The rules for Gawker's commenting is that a starred commenter responding to any unstarred commenter's post gets shown, obvious troll or not.

Well I am a gay man, so i don't see how anything I say can be seen as homophobic. I'm sorry that the terminology I used may have multiple meanings. Damn the English language. I also have no reason or care to know if the poster I was referring to was male or female. Clearly he was male and clearly he was offended. I am sorry you too improper meaning to my post.
However, if the poster were female, there'd be no claim. And I am gay, therefore giving me protection just like African american people who use racial slurs against people of their own skin color as a sign of warmth.
Aaron Tveit is an up and coming talented young performer. It is safe to assume that anyone in this community would get excited when he wiggled on stage. Male or female. The end.

Did you hear that?! He's also racist. This is too good.
Never assume. You know the rest. The end.
Well, that's creepy. Any true fan would know that Jenn Damiano doesn't even like peach meringue pie.

So, what was your meaning? You assumed I was male, you assumed I am gay, you called me a fairy, and you assumed I was sexually attracted to Aaron Tveit. Saying a gay man can't make homophobic comments is like saying an African American cannot be racist.
And I am gay, therefore giving me protection just like African american people who use racial slurs against people of their own skin color as a sign of warmth.
Uh, it is up to the recipient of the slur to decide if it is a sign of warmth. Regardless, it does not excuse the use of the word from anyone. "But they do it!" is not a defense. It is an attempt to circumvent responsibility.
There's a lot of cops outside the theater right now. It's almost like they're expecting a riot.
Am I wrong in thinking that I am not the only one who thinks Disneyland MagicMan needs a time out?
No doubt they are expecting some level of discontent with a couple thousand people being turned away who didn't get the message in time to plan something else. Especially the tourists.
Oh, Jordan, DO tell!
^ Definitely not. He should be sent to his room permanently like Morgan on Boy Meets World, except he should never be allowed out.
Someone was yelling out that if you bought your tickets from ticketmaster, your money has already been refunded. I found that interesting that they're not even giving the option of rebooking, just refunding.
agh- I am feeling a great urge to jump on the subway right now and be there in 15 minutes... but laziness and a cold are compelling me to stay in.
More reports, please! Jordan, if you have a video phone I bet you could make a stash selling any angry people to the NYT or at the very least, the Post.
