Motherhood sounds like a great role for her. No critic bashing or Tony snubs.

A mentally weaker character that by the end is a stronger woman and has come full circle.
But other than that I dont know what I can see block doing thats on now...? Maybe Nellie from South Pacific..
Block is so good though I dont see why she isint originating more roles.

She's a flop magnet.

It doesn't matter who originated the role. It doesn't seem like a fit for her.
If she was a great fit for the role, I don't think it would be a bad career move for her just because Sutton Foster originated it.

The only shows she was in that have been a success are the Boy From Oz and Wicked.
She was the original choice for Elphaba, but ended up in Wicked's ensemble and understudied Idina Menzel in the pre-Broadway San Francisco production. She probably would have transferred with the show to NYC, but chose to do The Boy From Oz instead. Eventually, she was a replacement Elphaba in Wicked on Broadway. Prior to that, she originated the role on tour.
And, yes, I was wrong about Boy From Oz being a flop. Judging by the shows she has done, I wouldn't exactly call her a flop magnet.

What the hell does that have to do with the price of tea in China?

The Boy from Oz was a hit (thanks to the leading man, of course).

Oh, she has nothing on Debra Monk.
Personally, I'd love to see her in Mamma Mia, though she seems a bit too young for the role. She was definitely one of the best Elphabas I've seen. Second only to Idina. And even if the show was terrible, she was fantastic in Pirate Queen. If she were to be a replacement in a current Broadway show, I could definitely see her as Diana in Next to Normal.
