Yes! not many actors come after matinees just to sign and take pictures with fans, Stephen does it though. He is absolutely the best, such a talented actor/singer and such a great man in real life. Since Brooke Shields ended her run in Wonderful Town, the Al Hirschfeld Theatre hasn't had such a graceful star.

No! she wouldn't even take pics with her fans, even Brooke, who is in my opinion, a bigger, more talented and better known star than Applegate took pictures and was nice to every single person waiting for her at the stage door. Christina at least had the guts to answer my question and told me that "she is not a poser" but i see her along with celebrities on every magazine. So i guess she poses with celebrities only. Sad.

that sucks, maybe you caught her on an off day. I remember seeing pictures with her posing with fans. Who knows, maybe she is a b*tch. I've never met her, but she seems nice.
No, actually if you do a search on this site, there are many pics of hers and they are all taken from the other side of the barricades, i tried to get pics with her more than once and she always turn everyone down. The last time i "staged door", there were about 8 people waiting for her.

Christina was friendly the two times I met her at the Charity stage door, but she did not like to pose for pictures with people. Stephen is also an incredibly nice guy. I have met him several times here in Baltimore when he was part of several events for a local radio station here. I can't wait to see him in The Wedding Singer on Thursday night. Not to hijack the thread, but I don't want to start another one for this question. How is Amy Spanger after shows?

Yes, but run! Stephan came out, like right after the show and we missed him. They all came out pretty quick: Amy, Rita, Felicia, Kevin, and the guy who plays Sammy whose name escapes me now. They all seemed pretty cool, but in a rush. Of course, that was the day I went (last Wed's matinee), it could be different on any given day.
Arghh! Grammar pet peeve #1: your vs you're. "Your" is a possessive pronoun. "You're" is the contraction of "you are."

When I saw Charity, it looked like Christina wanted to pose for pics with fans, but her bodyguards wouldn't let her. She seemed very appreciative of the fans waiting for her.
Laura usually takes a nap, but if you ask Neil (the stagedoor guy) he might ask her. She's the kindest, sweetest woman on Broadway and I'd be shocked to hear that she refused. Drop a note off before the show - she might stop out and say hi!

When I was in NYC, I stayed at the Milford which is right there next to The Wedding Singer. I walked down there to get tickets and the matinee was letting out. Lynch was outside signing autographs and I just walked up to him with my "Superhero" CD and he signed it and chatted with me for a few minutes because of my accent. He was a very cool guy.
Stephen Lynch is absolutely amazing with the fans and takes the time to talk to each and every one. I hope your experience with him was as great as mine was.
A little swash, a bit of buckle - you'll love it more than bread.
When I went to a matinee, the whole cast came out. Stpehen is wonderful.
Yankee, you might have caught Rita on an off day. When I was there, she was very gracious and happy.

The choosing was not...

Haha, to respond some questions, Amy Spanger is very nice and i was surprised to see Stephen coming out after the matinee and then he went back inside, he really just came out to greet his fans. Christina Applegate's bodyguards can tell her whatever they want, but if she really wanted to take pics with her fans she would do it.

Glad to hear that Stephen and Amy come out! And I would really love to meet Rita... hope she doesn't push me on my ass! :-P I would hate to wake up Laura from her nap, but hopefully I can catch her before she goes to sleep!
I don't know where we're sitting yet, but if it's gonna be hard to get out, I'll stand up before curtain call and applaud from somewhere in the back of the auditorium. I would never completely skip out on curtain call, but I don't want to get caught behind the crowds and miss the cast.

Have any of you ever heard Stephen Lynch's comedy albums? He is absolutely hilarious. He has been my favorite comedian for about 4 years now and I'm so happy he is making it on Broadway. He has an incredible voice and the ability to make people laugh...if you haven't already, check out his albums (A Little Bit Special, Superhero, and The Craig Machine)
Dawley- I love Stephen Lynch's comedy... that's why I was so excited when I first heard he was cast in this role! I thought he was perfectly cast!
And BroadwayBaby, Billy Madison the Musical would rock my socks! "Do you have anymore gum? More gum! More gum! More gum! Do you have any more gum!?" LMAO!

Laura Benanti's too OLD? What planet are you from? Maybe I'm defensive because we're the same age but jeez.
And sorry that it offends your sensibilities so much that it bothers you just by its existance - how about just not going to see it again? I enjoyed it.
And I think I have a girlcrush on Stephen Lynch...woops.
Now what would you say if today I started over?
