Do we think he’ll have to drop Pretty Woman?

If his character is on all season, he probably has to drop out of the Chicago Try-Out. He could possibly do the Broadway production if the character is a one season thing.

Just replace him.

Could this affect the show in any way? Or is it likely just non-news... like will he be able to do CHICAGO? I would love it if he wasn't in the show to then be replaced by someone like ANDY KARL ... Would be so cool ...
I love STEVE ... he's great too ... just curious if anyone knows what's going on....

...maybe just take a deep breath and calm down because this is not even remotely worth getting distraught over.

Entertainment Weekly has just reported that Broadway and 'Nashville' star Steve Kazee has landed a recurring role in NBC's Blindspot.
He was in two episodes of Nashville in 2016. He was in 10+ episodes of three other series. I mean, really. Nashville "star"?

Kad, you are spot on.
There are a ton of actors who could replace him.

If it's recurring, then it's not contractual which means he can leave the TV show when he wants -- even if they intend to bring him back for lots of episodes. However, there's no guarantee that they want him for tons of episodes. It could very easily be one or two with the "promise" of more if the storyline breaks that way.

I love Steve, but his “reoccurring roles” tend to be on the shorter side (aside from his arc on Shameless) or on shows that end up cancelled.

It's only November. Even if they started rehearsals in January for the March run, he could east film 4-5 episodes of that TV show by then, it's only a recurring role.
