The fans that are going to judge her for not giving them a damn autograph obviously aren't true theatre fans because they care more about the stupid stage door than the performance itself.

From what I've heard from friends who have had the opportunity to go meet or work with her, Foster is extremely kind and gracious. Just because she DARES to not stagedoor doesn't mean she's gotten a big head.
Some performers can be perfectly wonderful people, but find the stagedoor scene uncomfortable. It has nothing to do with whether or not they "appreciate their fans". Not everyone enjoys being mobbed as they exit the theatre.
Getting an autograph and photo with the star is not included in the ticket price. This is their job. Is it great that some high-profile performers take time out to sign and take photos? Yes. But it does not make someone egotistical or rude if they don't.

She stagedoored the other day when I saw the show. She took pics and passed out pretzel M&Ms to everyone as a thank you for waiting for her. There were about 60 of us when she came out and she invited us to tea at the Plaza which was a blast. Joel Grey wanted to come but she told him that three hours with him on stage was all she could stomach for one day. After tea she took us over to FAO Schwarz and bought us little tea sets to remember the day.
She's a class act.

She gave out PRETZEL M&Ms?!
What a big-headed, selfish woman.

Posted: 9/3/11 at 1:35pmHow entitled of her to not offer regular M&Ms. Who does she think she is?

Posted: 9/3/11 at 1:52pmWell in her defense, she said they were lower in fat and that most of the girls waiting for her could stand to lose a few.

Posted: 9/3/11 at 2:06pmI heard she got really mad at one girl who was wearing a Wicked tee shirt at the stage door. She wouldn't sign her playbill.

Pretzel M&Ms are delicious. But she really should've given out York Pieces. That's how you really show your fans you care.

All I got was a reach around and she threw a Drowsy Chaperone opening night pill box at me. She wouldn't sign my Playbill or make eye contact with me. I guess she didn't care for me.
