Sometimes you do NOT mess with a "franchise" (I don't think that's the best word), Tag.

Well, Bebe's costume is purple (and more revealing) than I remember it looking in the films/old pictures. I like it. There appear to be minor changes. I agree though. Better not to mess with it.

Actually I lied... it's purple in one of the cartoons. But still, very sexy. I don't know. I think they all look great.

This looks amazing. Nathan Lane, in particular, looks better than I had imagined.
When I see the phrase "the ____ estate", I imagine a vast mansion in the country full of monocled men and high-collared women receiving letters about productions across the country and doing spit-takes at whatever they contain. -Kad

What would be a "new take" on these iconic characters.

Everything on here is damned if it does and damned if it doesn't.

Do we want another Little Mermaid? As long as the ingenuity is in the score and book, I don't mind that they look as we're accustomed to seeing them.

I'm not very familiar with the original TV series, but I believe the movie put a different spin on the characters.

I'd say the original TV series is what the films are based on. There wasn't much reinterpretation in the films that didn't exist on TV.

I'm much more impressed than I expected to me with this picture. My fears are far from abetted nevertheless. I've not heard a note of the score yet... has anyone?
