What do you think?
Will they nominate multiple actors for one of both of this season's ensemble dramas? And, if so, which ones?
Or will they go the TWELVE ANGRY MEN direction, which only gave Philip Bosco a nom to represent the entire company?
Jim Norton and Conleth Hill.
Ian McShane and Raul Esparza.
The Seafarer will get at least two nominations for Featured Actor, including one for Jim Norton, who will likely win.
Ian McShane is not getting nominated since he is in the leading category, which is packed. But probably Raul and I would be surprised if James Frain got a nomination.
Jim Norton and Raul Esparza.
Norton will win.
This season is WAY too crowded to nominate more than one actor per play when there are only five slots.
Yeah, I think Esparza will be nominated: it was looking shaky at first, but apparently he's really improved (you tell me).
I wouldn't be surprised if Michael McKean was nominated, given how different his character is from the rest of the group. But it isn't likely.
THE SEAFARER: Jim Norton is the definite front-runner. Conleth Hill might be nominated.
I don't know: in this year of wonderful performances, I think most committee members will feel guilty if they give too many of the Featured Actor spots to these two shows. They'll want to spread the wealth. Which is why I can see both shows only getting one nomination.
I'd love to see Ciaran Hinds get a nomination.
Cape,
You just beat me to that !!! Would love to see Hinds get a nom.
That entire ensemble should be honored !!!
How about Eve Best?
Is Best going to be considered Leading or Featured?

I'd love to see Ciarán Hinds winning! Maybe I'm a little bit biased ![]()

I will be happy if Jim Norton wins
But I think that in a just universe the Tony would go home with Conleth Hill
I never got tired of watching what he did with Ivan
Conleth was BRILLIANT. He should definitely get a nom.
I didn't see THE SEAFARER. I would like to see Ian McShane and Raul Esaparza nominated.
I think McShane, Esparza, and Norton will be nominated.
Norton will win.

I also say Ian McShane, Raul Esparza, and Jim Norton. As for who will actually win...I have no freaking clue. Jim Norton was stellar, as was Raul Esparza.
I haven't seen August yet, but I hear that show is incredible.
