re: THE TIMES... on the View

unfortunately the President is doing a press conference now and The View isn't being shown.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

re: THE TIMES... on the View

They are joining The View already in progress. So, assuming that they put the performance off until the end, it'll still be shown.

re: THE TIMES... on the View

Can that even be considered dance?

That's possibly the most atrocious and embarrassing thing I've ever seen....and I hope Michael can actually, you know, hit the keys during the show.

re: THE TIMES... on the View

Michael is very sick. I talked to him last night. He NAILS them in the show. I wouldnt take what you saw too much into consideration.

re: THE TIMES... on the View

I caught the last ten seconds. It looked...interesting. Is it a cirque do soliel style dance? At least Michael Arden was amazing in his singing role...but that guitar was hideous...
"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

re: THE TIMES... on the View

PLEASE don't tell me that that is what actually happens on stage.

It was absolutely deplorable. Could anyone else NOT understand a single word out of Arden's mouth? He didn't sing the song in his normal inflection or tone. He sounded like he was trying to sound like Melissa Etheridge.

Jesus Christ.

My eyes! My ears! My GOD! What is this, Dylan does Godspell?
PEACE.

re: THE TIMES... on the View

Not a word, but I'll give it the benefit of the doubt, since, he's sick, apparently.

re: THE TIMES... on the View

Perhaps a reschedule would have been a good move.

re: THE TIMES... on the View

I also had a bit of a hard time understanding him, but at the same time, I think he showed quite a bit of stage presence.

re: THE TIMES... on the View

What song did they do?

(I still can't believe I sat through this mess TWICE)

Like a Rolling Stone

where they all bounced around on Yoga balls.

re: THE TIMES... on the View

I watched it, fortunately the conference was over before the performance. I'm not that familar with Dylan's work but that curled lip thing Arden kept doing reminded me more of Elvis than anything else. And yeah, didn't sound great but it helps knowing he was sick. I try not to judge a show based on just one song's performance but I don't know if I could sit thru a while show if the whole show is like that.

re: THE TIMES... on the View

Arden is a cutie and gave it his all, but what are they thinking?
PEACE.

re: THE TIMES... on the View

I love Michael Arden, but his being sick had nothing to do with the fact that this number was embarrassing. My partner and I were too appalled at the entire number to notice he was not at his best. This appearance had made us NOT want to see this show and we love Bob Dylan's music. We're really disappointed!

re: THE TIMES... on the View

I love Bob Dylan, but the song was utterly unrecognizable.
