I was re-watching the Tonys and i caught that girl with the dress that Anakela was talking about, hehe..her dress was funny, but im glad she tried something original.
I think CYNTHIA NIXON & BETH LEAVEL looked the best out of the Ladies...runners up being Bernadette Peters, Alfre Woodard, Oprah & Glenn Close!
Very, Very Nice Ladies! Bravo!

I didn't like S. Epetha's dress. It looked like a weird man's suit.
I have a a photo on my website of Sara's dress as she was leaving the after party. She seems to have filled out a bit since Spamalot. I thought she looked good.
Joanna Gleason and Bernadette Peters looked great and so did Oprah.
I think the best dressed were Cynthia Nixon, Glenn Close, LaChanze, and Oprah. They all looked great.
i need to look at the photos for more in-depth commentary but my initial reaction was that cynthia nixon has never looked better. simple, flattering dress --fresh, dewey makeup and classic hair and she looks trim.
bernadette was lovely as always, i thought audra looked wonderful, LaChanze's look was very sweet and simple -- she carried it off very well. beth leavel looked great -- she really knew it was her night.
on the negative side, sa-da needs to put down the sa-donuts. she is starting to resemble tyne daly.
Anna Paquin's dress was gorgeous. Sutton Foster looked amazing as well (pictures from the red carpet). I liked her dress last year, but the look was ruined by her casual hair. This year she looked elegant, mature....like a star.
Is Sara Ramirez a big gal? I saw her last year when she sang for Spamalot and she looked like a full figured woman but last night I couldn't tell if she has gained weight, or if the little guy next to her made her look bigger, or if the dress made her look heavy. It was weird, I couldn't figure it out.
Best: LaChanze
Worst: Sara Ramirez
I stand by liking Kyra's dress. The photo posted earlier is a little bit of a strange angle in that it's looking down and makes the bottom look bigger.

For me Glenn Close looked the best. Very elegant.
I've known Sara since the early 90's. She's never been, and never will be, a petite girl. That doesn't take away from the fact that she's stunning and can sing her face off.
Best dresses - Cynthia Nixon.

"bottom half of a dress that's black/white, and a bottom half of a dress that's like pink/orange/purple-ish? They're halves that make up one dress."
I agree with you on this one. That woman's dress was tragic. It's like she couldn't decide on what to wear so she picked both.
It was definitely a wee bit scary.
I love LaChanze's dress. Kelli O'Hara is stunning. Vicki Clark looked great.
On a side note: I can't believe that Gayle King and Alfre Woodard had on the same dress!

From comparing photos of Sara from last year to this year, it looks like she has gained some weight, but not necessarily a huge amount. The dress was terribly unflattering and accented all the wrong parts. I have a similar build and as little as 10 pounds (or not working out) would make a noticeable difference. One thing to bear in mind is that Sara is not performing regularly on stage, a high energy activity.
Sooo many beautiful dresses last night! I loved Glenn Close, Cynthia Nixon, Beth Leavel, Joanna Gleason, and Victoria Clark (she loves her blue!). I also thought Sara Ramirez's dress was completely unflattering.
All the History Boys looked lovely in their tuxes too.
What is up with Molly Ringwald? Did she scare anyone else with her overly wide eyes and generally freaked-out expression?
Oh, and I think Anna Paquin needs to get out in the sun. I'm no fan of overly-tanned skin or anything, but the girl looked like a freakin' vampire.

Speaking of unflattering Molly Ringwald looked awful. I think a darker dress would have looked better on her. What happened to that cute girl from the Breakfast Club?
Standing next to the Sopranos chick didnt help either.
My favorites were:
Men:
John Lloyd Young --- the guy always looks amazing, even coming out the stage door
Paul Rudd -- such a cutie!
Women:
Cynthia Nixon
Kelli O'Hara
LaChanze
I personally thought Kristen Bell looked good as did Anna Paquin. I thought Christine Ebersole looked good too and Kelli O'Hara and oh, Alfre Woodard. Cynthia Nixon looked good too and Kathleen Marshall. But the tops for ME is Julie Andrews! LOVE HER!!!
Sara's dress wasn't flattering either. Didn't see Patti's dress either.
Paul Rudd Definitly looked DAMN NICE! Able to read a teleprompter or not - the man was smokin!
I agree with Cynthia Nixon, Lachanze, Audra Mcdonald and Victoria Clark.
I also have a special place in my heart for Kristen Bell. she is such a cutie and looked gorgeous last night. She needs to come back to broadway very soon.

Another vote for Joanna Gleason!..And Neil Patrick Harris and the Jersey Boys' Hoff and Young looked nice as well. I loved the color of Kelli O'Hara's dress and I thought Cynthia Nixon looked fabulous.
As for the worst...Christine Ebersole possibly belonged in The Wedding Singer's performance. I did not like her gown at all.
