Since Hathaway will be there, I hope NPH does an opening number where he pulls her up onstage to join him in a duet. Perhaps the gassy number from Shrek?

So will all the awards be given out on the telecast this year? Based on the wording of the press release, it sounds like they are going to try.

27 awards, plus all the musical performances seems mighty ambitious for 3 hours, especially when you factor in commercials.

Anyone know for sure?

It's nice to see less random people with tenuous or no connection to the theatre world. Probably the most tenuous there is Anne Hathaway, who's never been on Broadway.

David Hyde Pierce is on that list... This can only mean one thing: They are foreshadowing the fact that Janney is going to steal Ripley's award. Oh snap!

Although not technically broadway i suppose.... but Anne is going to be in the Twelth Night for Shakespeare in the Park this summer with Audra and Raul. That could be why she was picked as a presenter.

adamgreer, I'm assuming they're gonna handle it like last year, and present most of the tech awards before the broadcast starts on CBS -- the eight design awards, and last year they also handed out orchestrations and book before the show.

^ they also handed out Best Revival of a Play, which is something that SHOULD be seen on the telecast

They should bump off Best Choreography instead of Best Revival of a Play. That'll be ridiculous if they bump off both Play Revival and Book again.
