What a great performance by our friends Hunter, Jeff, Susan, Heidi and Larry!!!!

More pics and reviews to follow. It as very well attended and seemed to be very well received. They followed up a horrendous performance of Russian on the Side, so the audience was very receptive. I was surrounded by older adults who seemed to really enjoy it.

Heidi and Susan and Jeff and Hunter and Larry were all so excited and giddy!!!!!
I am so happy for them!!!!!

YAY TOS!!!!

Do you guys know how self-depreacting it sounds for [tos] fans in the UK to call ourselves [tos]sers? Please tell me Hunter and Jeff know what a "tosser" is on this side of the Atlantic, otherwise the joke is nowhere near as funny. re: TOSSERS IN BRYANT PARK

And I loved the old man behind us who kept cheering for the Yankees and Derek Jeter.

"tosser"--Noun. An idiot, a contemptible person.

"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.” ~ Muhammad Ali

... close enough, Borstal. You missed out the part about masturbating, but you got the context just fine. XD

I feel happier now. :)

Aww, they do know! On their old website, one of the tabs was "tossers" and when you hovered over it to click it, it changed to "(not the UK kind of tosser)".

I was there! I loved their performance! They seemed so excited to be there. I don't know what "Russian on the Side" is or when or where its going, but I do know that I will not be in the audience after that performance. My favorite part of the [TOS] performance was Heidi having to change "What the F***" to "What the eff". I'm glad they got this exposure, they seemed to have gained a bunch of fans.

Sort of offtopic, but wanted to bump up this because it is Bryant Park related. What order did the shows perform today? I thought it was going to go Chicago, Spamalot, Russian/[TOS] (forgot which order), then Stomp. They usually have performed the order on the website. But they did Stomp and Russian after Spamalot, so I had to leave early to get back to work and missed Chicago and [TOS], which I wanted to see.

EDIT: I missed out on the first post that mentioned [TOS] went on after Russian, so I'm just curious why they went out of order...not that it is important. Did Chicago perform at all, and if so, what did they sing?

CHICAGO went on right after [title of show], and all I heard was All That Jazz...I was too busy saying hi to the gang before I had to scoot. I think the order was skewed by the absence of CRY-BABY, which was originally scheduled to perform.

RUSSIAN ON THE SIDE was horrifying. You'd never guess that I Can't Get Started is really a charming song.

Jeff & Hunter had to ad-lib for a few minutes because Larry's keyboard wasn't connected properly: Bird-watcher Jeff identified a few birds flying about and mentioned that his mom bought a dress for opening night. A gal nearby shouted "What color?" Jeff responded "Navy!" Finally everything worked, and after Two Nobodies In New York, Heidi held the crowd spellbound with A Way Back To Then, then Susan came up for Nine People's Favorite Thing. The crowd loved them! It was great to hear a huge crowd of [tos]sers to my left lead the cheers.

Of the other show I saw, SPAMALOT seemed game, but going-through-the-motions, while STOMP was unexpectedly electrifying. I had no thoughts before about the show, but now I want to see it. I think not a few people in the crowd felt similarly about [title of show].

I was so glad that I was able to be there today. I have never been to Broadway in Bryant Park because of work but today I had the day off and was able to enjoy [tos] in the park:) There were definitely a lot of [tos]sers out showing their support! I love it!
