Considering there are only 2 roles being discussed in this thread -- yes it is asking too much."
I must say, after the national exposure the Pasadena production got (the James Corden performance, for example), I would've loved to see MJ Rodriguez play the role again. (Although this might just be that I live on the East Coast and couldn't see her perform the first time.)

I love me some Billy Porter, but as Audrey 2? Ummmmm.....
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
I wish they’d just announce a cast instead of telling us every single actor who’s considered for this. Rebel Wilson, Lady Gaga, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and now Taron Egerton and ScarJo. Jesus.
Taron and Hugh seem to have bonded well during the filming and media tour for Eddie The Eagle ( Have you seen it - it is very entertaining and scored well at RTomatoes?) -- when Hugh was at the O2 for his music tour (TheManTheMusicThe Show), Taron was a special guest in one of the performances ( 6 at the O2 - other guests were Robbie Williams, the original cast of Oklahoma!) and sang a song by Elton John. Hugh looked like a doting uncle as he watched Taron sing ( at 2'45" or so).
I'm on board with Taron, but a 100% no for Scarlett. She would be too bland and her singing would be too low and raspy for Audrey. I rather want Rebel. At least she would pop out with her acting.

Ridiculous x"
Except he clearly looked better than Elton. Sure, he looked worse than he usually does, mostly due to the receding hairline, but Taron Egerton’s good looks just can’t be hidden.
And if he’s cast, there’s no way that they’ll give him a receding hairline. They’ll give him glasses, unflattering outfits, either messy hair or a cap, but they wouldn’t give him a receding hairline.

It is literally part of Seymour's character that he shouldn't be attractive. It's part of the insecurity the plant feeds on."
NEWSFLASH: Lots of cute people have low self esteem and feel unworthy of love Taron is adorable but he could easily play a nerd. High self-esteem and confidence are not a given to attractive people.
Love Scar Jo but a hard pass on her singing Audrey.
