I purchased front row center orchestra seats for Miss Saigon in May. Today I received a phone call from Telecharge informing me that the theater has canceled my seats with no reason.
I purchased these seats back in the fall and have family coming from another state, used vacation time and had this trip planned. Has this ever happened to anyone before?
Thanks in advance.
Just curious, did they send you tickets in mail or via email or did they never send them?

I'm sure it's not frequent, but I suspect this happens when the performance has the entire house bought out for some special event.
Or that particular performance was canceled for some other schedule issues.

They were holding my tickets at the box office. They offered to exchange my seats for the same night.
I ended up getting the same seats for another night.

it's possible they are using these seats for a Tony voter.
But wouldn't tony voters get house seats which are normally 5-7 rows from the stage center orch?

I missed the front row thing. But when I was at Pippin a few years ago I was front row next to a Tony voter. So anything is possible.

I sat next to a Tony voter at last years The Crucible and we were on the side.

I've never heard of such a thing, and I would be LIVID.
somewhat similar thing happened to me last year, but with ticketmaster.
I had a ticket booked well in advance, i just happened to be recheck all my bookings 2 weeks before my trip only to find the show on that night was cancelled (basically they changed the nights that they are dark) anyways, i didnt get an email or anything, if I didnt happen to go check my reservation I would have never known it was cancelled and would have showed up to collect my ticket only to see the theatre closed.
I had to email ticketmaster to find out what was going on, was refunded, and I went in and rebooked for another night, thankfully got back a similar seat.
And mind you, Telecharge didn't cancel them.....the PRODUCTION did.

I can see the headlines now: "Paid ticketholders forcibly dragged from seats by security to make room for Tony voters at Dear Evan Hansen".
I suppose it could be worse, right?
